WILCREST DRIVE SEES ACTIVITY AS PROJECTS PROGRESS

There's been plenty of action along Wilcrest Drive lately. Landscapers planted seasonal beds at three intersections (top left). Workers poured and smoothed concrete as several medians along Wilcrest north of Westheimer have been realigned (top right). We've added landscaping at those medians, like this one at Wilcrest and Briar Forest Drive (bottom right). This is the first project outside District boundaries to be completed under a special 380 Area Agreement between Westchase District and the City of Houston. Plus, we've installed special paving to deter pedestrians from standing at certain intersections (bottom left). It's all part of what we do at Westchase District.

GREAT WEATHER, TURNOUT FOR WESTCHASE ON THE RUN
The weather was perfect for more than 200 paid participants last Saturday morning as Westchase District held its inaugural Westchase on the Run fun run/walk event along the District's trail system.

Everyone enjoyed breakfast and snacks, the top three most patriotically-dressed participants won prizes and a good time was had by all. This "fun run for people who aren't runners" was created to showcase our beautiful trails.

Thanks again to our sponsors, Portico at West 8, and PS Lightwave as well as to our water table sponsors Kumon Math & Reading Center of Westchase, Premier America Credit Union and the Westchase District Community Fund.
