Cheam CC AGM in December 2017.
Dear Cheam Cricket Club Member,

On behalf of the Club Committee, I am pleased to invite you to attend the forthcoming Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Cheam Cricket Club on Thursday 7 th December 2017 at 7.45pm prompt.

This meeting is in effect, the Club’s 2018 AGM ! Your Club’s management committee has agreed to bring forward the date of this and future AGMs as they felt that the AGM needs to be held as near to the end of a season as possible; and once the final accounts were made available. Essentially, the current arrangement doesn’t give the incoming executive enough time to organise the Club's playing and administrative operations for the following season; so by bringing forward this and future AGMs a newly-elected management will have plenty of time to action necessary business before the next season.

The AGM is an important constitutional gathering of the members of Cheam Cricket Club at which you will hear about the progress of the Club, recent and on-going developments; and the achievements of members during the past year.
The key area we will of course cover is the election of officers. In addition, if you have any other business that you feel is relevant to the AGM, then please note that this should be submitted, in writing/ via email , to me, the Club’s secretary, at least fourteen days before the meeting.

Never forget that Cheam Cricket Club is your club and that this meeting is your opportunity to influence the future. NOTHING is a done-deal until AFTER the meeting.

Once the meeting has concluded please join the committee for some festive titbits and a drink or two in the Sports Club's lounge.
I urge you all to attend; and use this meeting as your opportunity to support Cheam Cricket Club. Remember: If you don't take this chance to have your say, you can't grumble about the outcome afterwards!

We very much look forward to a good turnout on the night. All welcome.

Hon Sec.

Cheam Cricket Club has launched a kit recycling scheme, which will help to reinstate for season 2018, the kit bags provided for each of the Club’s colts age-group teams.

Every year as kit supplier, Deb Bracher is asked for second hand kit; and Deb is happy to hold a sale provided she has some kit to sell! All profits will go to the Club; and next year, specifically to provide items for the juniors team kit bags that we have not been able to source for free. We hope the bags will be fully equipped with helmets, pads, gloves, and wicket keeping gear, plus a few accessories.
This scheme is vital in giving our young developing players a sporting chance as they grow, providing them with the kit they need in order to engage in their chosen sport, cricket.
Kit can be dropped off any time with either Deborah Bracher, 81 Tattenham Grove, Epsom Downs: (01737 355166); or with Gill Fenwick, 33 Glebe Road.  We will then hold a sale prior to the beginning of next season.

To each and every person who kindly donates their unwanted cricket gear, we thank you for your kind generosity. I t is greatly appreciated.
