QUIP Student Panel & Reception

Are you interested in doing a 12-16 month paid internship after your 2nd or 3rd year of undergraduate studies? Hear from a panel of Arts and Science students that are currently doing or have recently completed their internships through the Queen's Undergraduate Internship Program (QUIP). Afterwards, mix and mingle with the panelists while enjoying some appetizers and refreshments.

Invitation to the Dean's Lunch for International Students
 
November 28 from 12 pm - 1:30 pm
 
Dr. Barbara Crow, the Dean of Arts and Science, extends her invite to international students to have lunch with her on November 28 from 12 pm - 1:30 pm. She hopes to hear about your experiences in the Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen's. There is no formal presentation required - just general discussion. Lunch will be provided. Please note that you must be an international student to register. Also note that registration for this event is on a first-come, first-served basis, but there will be other opportunities in future.

C urious about the Cultural Studies grad program? Come learn all about it at the upcoming Cultural Studies Open House. Discover the innovative degree paths Cultural Studies students can follow to complete their degrees. Hear from current students and faculty about the types of research happening in the department. Find out about the financial aid available to students. Students from all disciplines are welcome.


Exams

Make sure to check your Exam Schedule on SOLUS

The Winter 2018 Term Exam Schedule is posted in the SOLUS Student Centre.

1. On your SOLUS main page, under the "Academics" section, click on the "other academic..." dropdown menu.

2. "Exam Schedule" will be the 11th menu item listed. Click on it, then click on the "Go" icon;

3. From this screen, you will be able to view your Exam Timetable listing any centrally scheduled exam sittings;

4. Students with accommodations must refer to the email(s) sent from the Exams Office (by the last day of class) with the details for date, time, and location of their exam(s)

Make sure that you have the right calculator

Please don't forget that only calculators from the Cassio 991 series are permitted during exams. No other calculators will be allowed.

Queen's Innovation Centre Summer Initiative applications are still open. QICSI is a 17-week paid summer internship for enterprising Queen's students with a capacity for creativity, a tolerance for risk and an interest in entrepreneurship, corporate or social innovation. You will have the opportunity to work in a diverse team with bright individuals from across different programs . Students from all programs (undergraduate and graduate) and years (even your final year) are encouraged to apply! Applications are due at noon on November 15. More information on the program and how to apply can be found on QIC's website. You can also contact QIC at [email protected].

Keep in mind that advising appointments are on a first come, first-served basis each day and we suggest calling early the morning of the day you'd like to book an appointment because spots fill up quickly. Please note that our phone lines open up at 9 am.
