November 18, 2017
Avenue 50 Studio in collaboration with Regal House Publishing invites you to join us in celebrating the launch of:

CROSSING THE BORDER by Daniel A. Olivas

From award-winning fiction writer and book critic, Daniel A. Olivas, comes his first collection of poetry, Crossing the Border.

These narrative poems delve deeply into the many ways we cross borders of race, culture, language, religion, and privilege. With humor and pathos, Olivas draws from his own life and from the stories of others to serve as a witness to the great variety of experiences that make us human. With grace and eloquence, he invites readers to cross these borders with him on this intense but necessary journey.

Want to help housing in LA?
Los Angeles Housing + Community Investment Department  is conducting an online survey to help to measure the needs of various communities in Los Angeles and allow the City to determine what projects would have the greatest positive impact in upcoming years. In order to obtain the most accurate results, we need to get the survey out to as many people as possible so please share with your networks!

OPEN SPACE VISION SURVEY
Open spaces play a vital role in enhancing our quality of life -- they offer us a break from our busy lives to connect with nature and with each other. In Los Angeles, this includes our scenic mountain views, our world famous beaches, an intricate network of rivers and trails, and thousands of acres of parklands.

Your feedback for this short 3-5 minute survey will help shape the future of open space in Los Angeles.
