We at First Pres want to help - with toys for area children, and a special Christmas for several families from Tank School. Please join us again this year with these great efforts!
Our Prayer Basket Mission provides a complete Christmas for 3 families from Tank School, and we are collecting the items needed from
November 12 - December 15
. Each family will receive a fleece blanket (which we already have) for every person, as well as a complete Christmas dinner, and presents for each member of the family. We have 3 trees in the back of the sanctuary with many tags identifying special gifts. They are labeled Baby Jesus family, Star family, and Angel family.
Please take as many tags as you'd like - just put each tag on an UNWRAPPED gift and return it to the church by December 15. The Youth Group will wrap all the gifts during their sleepover on December 15 or 16.
And of course we have the Christmas Toy Shop for which we are collecting new (or very, very gently used) toys for any age for the Christmas Toy Shop. Last year we had 573 kids, so we need lots of donations! You can drop them off in the Toy Chest in the corner of the First Pres hallway from
November 1-30
.
