Project Dragonfly Graduate and Master's Programs
Project Dragonfly, at Miami University, promotes inquiry-driven reform, reaching millions of people worldwide through learning media, exhibits, and education programs. Project Dragonfly offers graduate courses and master's degree programs (the Global Field Program, the Advanced Inquiry Program, and Earth Expeditions); co-founded the Emmy-Award winning national PBS television series DragonflyTV.
Earth Expeditions is a groundbreaking global program supporting university courses, degree programs, and collaborative projects that are making a difference in Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas. Graduate courses are open to people from all disciplines and settings including pre-K-12 teachers, school administrators, and university faculty as well as professionals from non-school settings such as zoos, aquariums, botanical gardens, environmental organizations, businesses, youth programs, parks, civic agencies, and museums.
Applications are accepted through January 28 of each year.
The Global Field Program (GFP) brings Master's degree candidates, scientists, educators, community leaders, and others together at conservation hotspots in Africa, Asia, Australia, and the Americas for firsthand experience with inquiry-driven education, environmental stewardship, and global understanding. Enrollment is open to applicants who hold a bachelor's degree, regardless of academic major or profession. Applications are accepted through January 28 of each year for enrollment beginning late spring.
The Advanced Inquiry Program offers a ground-breaking master's degree that combines web-based graduate courses through Miami University with face-to-face experiential learning and field study at some of the nation's premiere community learning institutions.Enrollment is open to applicants who hold a bachelor's degree, regardless of academic major or profession, and who are able to travel to an AIP Master Institution, currently located in Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Denver, San Diego and Seattle. Coursework occurs online with experiential learning at affiliated institutions. Applications Accepted until February 28 each year for enrollment in the subsequent summer.
