Night in the Jungle: A Special After-Hours Event

Snakes in the library! Pose for photos with live snakes from the Chicago Herpetological Society at this exciting after-hours event for kids. Enjoy stories, create a fun jungle craft, and experience virtual reality with the 360-degree video Through Mowgli's Eyes. Parent signature required on Virtual Reality Waiver (for ages 8 and up). Every story read at this event counts towards your Jungle Book Read-A-Thon goal.

Survivor: Minecraft Edition

Are you a master at Minecraft? Do you think you can survive some of Minecraft's harshest and toughest biomes? Test your skills of survival and see if you can outlast your teammates! Knowledge of PC version of Minecraft required. For grades 3-5. Reserve your spot.

Indie Author Day: Story Wall Party

Join other writers at this brainstorming event where participants present their book plans or ideas and receive advice on their trouble spots. Reserve your spot.

Unveiled: A One Woman Play
Sunday, October 15 | 3 pm & 7 pm | McAninch Arts Center
Chicago playwright Rohina Malik brings her one-woman play, Unvelied to the MAC! Rohina's play in production at the Goodman Theatre, Yasmina's Necklace was nominated by the Jeff Awards for Best New Work! Chris Jones from the Chicago Tribune says "Malik is a remarkable new theatrical voice in Chicago... and gives voice to characters from whom we hear far too little in the theater." The library will be closed for a staff in-service day. The building may be closed, but you still have access to all the great digital resources the library offers. Learn a language, start your research paper, browse the catalog to place a hold, or download a digital book, audiobook, or magazine. You can even stream movies and listen to music. Just ensure your library card is nearby!
NEW GLENBARD WEST AND SOUTH YEARBOOKS DIGITIZED!

A few years ago, the library made Glenbard West yearbooks, 1940 through 2004, and Glenbard South yearbooks, 1973 through 2004, available online. Now, the library is making available the 2005 through 2007 yearbooks for both high schools! Students, faculty, and alumni, as well as the community, can access the new yearbooks from the Digital Library section of the website.
