Opens for BIC Graduates
Bowie BIC opens Bowie BIC NEXT, a second office location at Kenhill Center in Bowie, MD to provide transitional, affordable office  space for the companies that graduate from its accelerator and to keep the economic impact generated by these companies in Bowie.

Total Access Insurance Named 2017 Bowie Incubator Business of the Year 

Bowie BIC Accelerator client Derrick Williams, who is the Founder and Principal of Total Access Insurance, was named Bowie Incubator Business of the Year at the Greater Bowie Chamber of Commerce and City of Bowie Development Office  Bowie Business Recognition Awards Breakfast May 10 in Bowie.  Williams will graduate from Bowie BIC accelerator in July and become the second Bowie BIC client to relocate to new Bowie BIC NEXT transition space for graduates at Kenhill Center in Bowie.

In five years, Magdalena's company has grown to 150 employees delivering project management, information assurance and information systems security services to top government agencies and corporate clients.  A Bowie State University alumna, she was the first company in 2012 to graduate from Bowie BIC's business accelerator headquartered at Bowie State.

Sonya started her business on her kitchen table in Bowie four years ago.  Under her leadership, Sage Services has expanded to provide organizational development, plus project management, training and logistics services to clients in aerospace, education and workforce development.  Today she has 28 employees and is the first graduate of Bowie BIC to locate in the new transition office space at Bowie BIC NEXT at Kenhill Center in Bowie, MD.

2017 Dolphin Tank Pitch Event Expands 

Four Bowie BIC accelerator clients and two companies from the student Startup Shell at the University of Maryland-College Park pitched their companies to a panel of investors and serial entrepreneurs and got friendly feedback on business models, marketing and business challenges at the second Dolphin Tank Practice Pitch event with Springboard Enterprises at Kenhill Center in Bowie on May 3.
