Stukel Completes Seven Marathons on Seven Continents
In June 2014, Nick Stukel (SOM/MSB'18) ran the Laguna Phuket Marathon in Thailand to raise money for Musicians on Call, an organization that brings music to patients in health care facilities. On October 22, Stukel ran the Marine Corps Marathon, achieving his goal of running seventh marathon on seven continents. Read about his journeys

Student Team Wins Lauerman Cup Golf Tournament
For the first time in the tournament's history, a student team has won the Lauerman Cup. Sponsored by Dahlgren Memorial Library, the winning team (score; 58) included: Brian McCormick, (M'20); Douglass Johnson, (M'20); Andrew Horn, (M'20); and Cooper Ehlers, (M'21). Through the generosity of sponsors, golfers and donors, more than $25,000 was raised to benefit the Medical Student Life Scholarship Fund. Five medical students were honored with $5,000 scholarships for their commitment to the School of Medicine.
