Yearbook Page Sponsorships :  FA families and local businesses interested in sponsoring a page in this year's yearbook, should click HERE for the sponsorship form. The sponsorship entails that on the page of the sponsor's choice (based on availability at the time of submitting the form), the yearbook page will read "Page provided by _____ ." For example, if your child is in the first grade, you can sponsor his or her class page, and your family's name or your business name will be printed at the bottom of the First Grade page. You can sponsor sports and events pages as well.

National Honor Society (NHS) students had a great experience serving Communities in Schools at the Burroughs-Mollette Elementary School Fall Festival on Friday. Frederica NHS students painted faces, painted nails, ran all of the game booths and had a lot of fun with the students. Our NHS students had as much fun as the students at BME. It was our pleasure to serve alongside Communities in Schools and the BME PTA and staff.

It was a spectacular time at Addington Place of Brunswick on Halloween night. Members of the FA Competition Cheer team spent their Halloween night helping with Addington Place's Halloween Carnival. It was a fun night filled with candy, games and laughter. The Knights cheerleaders helped with the cakewalk, various activities for the community children, and even showed their artistic side with a little face painting. Special thanks to Brittany Rowland, the community relations coordinator, and her team for allowing the cheerleaders the opportunity to help with this event. The Addington Place is an assisted living facility, and the cheerleaders were blessed with the opportunity to spend time with their residents and with the ghouls and gals of Brunswick who came trick-or-treating. The cheerleaders hope to continue their new relationship with Addington Place and plan to revisit and help with future events.

One of our Middle School goals is to provide opportunities for students to grow in responsibility and leadership skills. During the Middle School Community Service class last week, Mrs. Lee prepared the students to lead the Second Grade classroom guidance time. The students facilitated a team building game that involved listening, sportsmanship, and problem solving skills. The Second Graders loved being with our older students and had a great time while growing in these lifelong skills! Our Middle School students led with great enthusiasm and enjoyment.

Last week, Fourth Grade went to the Jekyll Island Turtle Center for a class on animal adaptations. The children had a great time learning all about the different kinds of turtles, seeing the turtles in the hospital and working their way through the interactive education center. Afterwards, they went for a picnic at Great Dunes and enjoyed rousing games of tag and Duck, Duck, Goose!

FA Kindergarten students had a blast at the Brunswick Fair last Wednesday. They gathered with other Kindergartners from around Glynn County. Special thanks to the wonderful parents who accompanied the Kindergarten students,FA Ambassadors, and the Exchange Club of Brunswick for all of their help!
