November in Truro ...
Daylight saving time ends Sunday November 5th at 2 a.m., so don't forget to turn back your clocks.
This month, days will be 78 minutes shorter by month's end, plus we will lose an hour of daylight in the afternoon when we turn our clocks back.
Shorter days will drop the average high temperature to 50°F, with average lows of 37°F. We get about 5 days of rain with an average total of 5 inches. Expect 7 nights to dip below freezing.
Below are some of the activities and events happening about town this month.

Beach Cleanup Thank You
On Saturday October 28, the Town sponsored a cleanup of its ocean-side beaches. It was a gorgeous, sunny and warm fall day, and almost 40 people came out to help collect plastic trash and fishing gear from our beaches. THANK YOU, VOLUNTEERS! And Huge Thanks to Diane Costa of Savory & Sweet Escape for donating free pizza to all our volunteers after the cleanup! Thanks, Diane!
The Truro Beach Cleanup team includes town staff and CERT members (Community Emergency Response Team) that schedule and organize beach cleanups throughout the year. Look here in the E-Newsletter in March or April 2018 for the next scheduled cleanup of Truro's bayside beaches, and checkout the Truro Beach Cleanup page on the Town's   website.

Our dilemma is that we hate change and love it at the same time; what we really want is for things to remain the same but get better."
