BC Umpires taking their whistles to the World Stage
Canada, and British Columbia in particular, have developed some very high quality Umpires over the years. That trend is continuing as four local Umpires will be making their mark on the world with upcoming International Appointments.

Lelia Sacre and Tyler Klenk, fresh off of World League and Pan American Cup appointments this past year, have now been tapped for the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia in April. This is a huge accomplishment for these rising stars, as the multi-sport games are considered a prestigious event in the Field Hockey world.

Following in their footsteps are two local Umpires, Margaux Brand and Erin de Sousa, who have both been appointed to the 2017 Central America and Caribbean Games Qualifier in Kingston, Jamaica in November. We are excited to see these two Umpires continue to grow, develop, and gain more International Appointments!
