A Message From Mr. Stoops

Yesterday, our 8th grade students received the Sacrament of Confirmation. Archbishop Schnurr presided in ceremony to unite students more firmly in their relationship with Christ; increase the gifts of the Holy Spirit in them; and render their bond with the Church more perfectly. Thank you to all parents, teachers, and catechists who played a part in preparing students for the final Sacrament of Initiation, and helping them grow in their faith. Please join me in praying for our 8th graders as they continue on their spiritual journeys.

Additionally, on Thursday, October 12 at 9:00 a.m., our fifth graders will present the All-School Living Rosary. October is the month dedicated to the Most Holy Rosary, and our fifth graders will take an active part to help us visualize and understand the importance of it in our spiritual lives. Pope Francis states, "Use this powerful instrument, which is the prayer of the holy rosary, often so that it may bring peace to hearts, and families to the church and to the world." In addition to the opportunity with fifth graders tomorrow, all students and families are invited to our Family Rosary held at 3:00 in the church each Thursday throughout the year.

Finally, congratulations to Guardian Angels graduates Wade Brokamp, Jude Gerrard, Luke Guessford, and Ethan Huston. These students represented four of nineteen students recently inducted into the McNicholas High School Science National Honor Society. It is very encouraging to see the numerous academic and spiritual achievements of our students and graduates.

God Bless,
Corey

The families are in desperate need of infant and toddler clothing. But all donations are welcome. Clean out your summer clothing as we transition to fall. Pass on the word to family and friends.  Please send your donated items to Room 1, Mrs. Sarky's classroom.
