Dear PACC Member and Friends,

According to Euronews, "With over 350,000 business entities operating in Malopolska, the region has become one of the leading economic hubs in Poland, and Krakow is known as its investment magnet." And while Illinois and the US Midwest is well-known as one of the most important commercial and transportation regions in the world, Crain's Chicago Business has recently reported that Chicago "is about to shatter all of its tourism records, including the one it set last year."

In light of these developments, we celebrate the decision of LOT Polish Airlines to restore direct flights between Chicago and Krakow. As of July 2017, this timely connection has once again become part of both city airports' destination networks. In addition to facilitating increased tourism, the route will undoubtedly appeal to entrepreneurs on both sides and encourage more frequent commercial contacts.
