Join Mr. Dickens as he reminds all that a joyful Christmas morning does not require Ebenezer Scrooge's gold, as much as it needs the heart of the poor Cratchit family.
When Charles Dickens' novel 'A Christmas Carol' was published in 1843 it established much of the nostalgia and tradition we associate with Christmas today. The novel delivers just the right message to bring families back to a holiday that all too often becomes a celebration of wealth and consumerism.
British actor, Andrew Harris plays Charles Dickens in this seasonal entertainment of Dickensian readings. This evening's event includes a chance to tour Victoria Mansion decked out in holiday splendor.
Performances are at 6:00 and 7:30 and space is limited. Tickets are $25 for general public, $20 for Victoria Mansion members and children. Please call (207) 772-4841 ext. 104 or click below to purchase tickets.
The snow date for this event is Wednesday, December 6.
