SENIOR SPOTLIGHT

Ribeka H.

What excites you most about beginning  your college journey?
The most exciting part of starting my college journey is getting to embark on my educational path of getting my dream job. AKA finally getting into the real world!!

What do you like most about being a part of CollegeTracks?
My favorite part is having the resources right at my fingertips. If I have any questions or I am confused about something, I have a group of people that are willing to help me.

What colleges are you applying to and what do you want to study?
I am applying to most schools in Maryland including University of Maryland, Towson, Goucher and more! I am not sure what I want to study, but I know that I want to be in the medical field since I am in the Wheaton High School Bioscience Academy.

What advice do you have for juniors who are beginning their college application journeys?
All I can say is work hard now! This is the year that counts. Focus on your GPA and studying for the SAT, ACT, or ACCUPLACER. Also, don't forget to volunteer and get your SSL hours. You don't want to become a Senior and have to worry about completing your SSL hours  when you have a million and one things to do for college!

EARLY ACTION VS.
EARLY DECISION?

As you research your college application deadlines, you will see terms like "Early Action" and "Early Decision."  Although the names sound similar, they are very different. Use the chart below to distinguish the differences and apply by the appropriate deadline! If you have any questions about the difference, stop by CollegeTracks!

             EARLY ACTION
           EARLY DECISION
                Non-binding
                      Binding
If accepted, student is
not r equired to attend the college. Student receives early notification of acceptance and is free to apply to other colleges.
If accepted, student is  promising to attend   the college.  Student has not received a financial aid package at this time.
