Loree Cowling
Sacred Wisdom in Our Stories
Loree is a mom to a beautiful young woman who shines her light in this world as an individual with Down Syndrome. Her daughter's journey has even included a cancer diagnosis at the age of 3 yet her ability to find love and acceptance in all things inspires Loree in every other thing she does in life. Together and seperately they are working to ignite a new way of living in a consciousness of inclusion. Together they are working on a Children's Book Series called Miracles and Mudpuddles that tells of their adventures seeing the world through the eyes of magic. It is Loree's passion to share their story and help other people realize wisdom in their own life experiences. Finding the space to stand beside another person in their life allows one to know themselves in a deep way you never thought possible.
Lorraine Fuchs
I AM A WARRIOR
Lorraine's first born son Colin is now 44 years of age, inspite of being born premature and weighing only 4lbs 8oz, he also stuggled from a brain injury he received at birth. He was very fragile and developed very slowly. She was told that he would be fine, he was simply a preemee and would catch up, but at 3 years old, a doctor agreed there were definitely some developmental delays. Long-story short, today he is a fiercely independent man. He recently suffered a heart attack and is facing some huge health challenges as a result of uncontrolled diabetes. Lorraine shares her story hoping that other women who have faced similar challenges will understand that out of misfortune came a blessing and with a belief in God or a Higher Power; grit, gratitude, humor, and determination and above all, the love of family and self - we can overcome anything. Lorraine says; I am NOT just a survivor - I am a warrior !!!
