valleyjob

Develop your career and positively impact the community by working with the  Shenandoah Valley Small Business Development Center (SBDC) this fall. The SBDC recently created an Inclusive Entrepreneurship Initiative (IEI), designed to help provide business training and advice to the diverse immigrant and minority populations in the Shenandoah Valley.  Part time, paid positions are available for undergraduate business students (including international students) that allow students to apply experiences in the classroom to consultations with local business owners, while working side-by-side with the SBDC's experienced business advisors.

To apply visit joblink.jmu.edu and search on student positions for the title:  Inclusive Entrepreneurship Assistant. AMAuse

Today's dynamic business environment requires analytical thinking, fact-based decision making, and collaborative action. PWC

Challenge, PwC's case competition, is an opportunity for students to experience this first hand. The Challenge case competition models real-world business scenarios that focus on the dynamic issues currently facing companies all over the world.

The competition is open to all freshmen, sophomores and juniors (in a 5-year program) and does not require detailed knowledge of business concepts or accounting. Through this competition, students will work with a small team to review a business case, develop a solution, and create a presentation. The team will then deliver their solution to a group of PwC professionals.

Want to Ace Your Next Case Interview? interview10

Many top companies are now incorporating case studies as an integral part of the interview process. This type of interview allows the interviewer to observe your problem-solving, thought process, and how you explore and articulate a solution under pressure, rather than looking for a correct answer or solution.  Are you prepared?
