Cognex Real Time Monitoring
Improve efficiency and throughput with performance feedback
Real Time Monitoring (RTM) collects, processes, and displays information collected by DataMan barcode readers to help facility managers remove system defects and improve overall equipment efficiency (OEE) and throughput. Access to current and historic key performance indicators makes it simple to analyze productivity, adjust settings, and optimize processes. RTM allows users to see the forest and the trees, evaluating long-term trends and analyzing specific data points to pinpoint read issues.

  • RTM organizes data in easy-to-use dashboards that make it simple to track performance and analyze metrics.
  • Overview of facility performance via read rates and throughput over time
  • 1-D and 2-D barcode quality metrics identify when code quality drops, signaling that labeling or printing equipment requires attention
  • Detailed trigger data including barcode symbology, module size, and decode time
  • Automatic collection and root cause analysis of no-reads
  • Tracks and compares reader configuration changes
  • Heat maps track the relative positions of barcodes to identify required changes in reader configurations

SICK WFS Fork Sensors
Precise detection for optimum label detection
The slim, forked shape of the WFS sensor has been specially developed for the requirements of the labeling process. The design allows the sensor to be mounted directly on the edge of a label dispenser. Difficulty in detecting the label gap is finally eliminated – the sensor's switching threshold can be taught-in while the label strip is running. This sophisticated operating concept means the sensor can be adjusted to different labels quickly, easily, and reliably. The fast response time guarantees exceptional repeat accuracy.

  • Housing with slim forked shape
  • Simple and precise setting of the switching threshold via IO-Link, teach-in button, or plus/minus buttons
  • Light/dark switching function
  • Fast response time: 50 μs
  • PNP or NPN switching output
  • Smart sensor with integrated IO-Link interface
