September 25, 2017
From the Desk of Ellen Knippel, Principal

Dear Parents,
We have so much, once again, as a school community, in which to be thankful! This month we have been concentrating on PRAYER as the first part of "GROWING IN GOD'S LOVE". There have been many instances where our students and families have been practicing this action!

The 7th graders have been leading us in prayer each morning since school began. The prayers were written by our students and have been awesome! It was truly a blessing for us to share these prayers!

Our school community went to St. John Vianney to celebrate Mass with Padre Joe and the school community of SJV. The singing and praying lifted the roof!

The acts of kindness for Childhood Cancer were plentiful! The students tied blankets for Children's Hospital, raised close to $400 in an out-of-uniform day for the MACC fund and listened attentively as John Cary from the MACC fund spoke to us at Mass.

The 8th graders participated in their Day of Reflection on Friday with Fr. Tony leading us in prayer and reflection! It was a wonderful, Spirit-filled day!

And the month isn't quite over yet...You can still register for free to walk with us at the Catholic School's walk on October 21st! Register here. After today, there is a $10 fee to register. ALSO you can continue to send in donations to Team Knippel OR Team Zimmer until the walk! I'd love to see you walk with us on the 21st!

Blessings!

Mrs. Ellen Knippel

Prayers and Celebrations
Prayer
"Take, O Lord, and receive my entire liberty, my memory, my understanding and my whole will. All that I am and all that I possess You have given me: I surrender it all to You to be disposed of according to Your will. Give me only Your love and Your grace; with these I will be rich enough, and will desire nothing more."
-St. Ignatius of Loyola

Thank You!
"On behalf of the MACC Fund, please accept and extend our thanks to your students, staff and parents for the thoughtful consideration of the MACC Fund during September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month through your school's donation of $398.11 from out of uniform day in support of childhood cancer and other related blood disorders research. It was an honor to have the MACC Fund present at your School's Mass today [September 20th]. Thank you for the warm welcome and courtesies shown to the MACC Fund and me."
