September Chamber Coffee

Hosted by

The Isle of Lights Board of Directors invites the community to attend the Chamber Coffee beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 28.  Cookies, breads, and coffee will be served.

This year marks the 25th year of this annual holiday light display.  Winfield Isle of Lights was formed in 1993 as a not-for-profit organization with the vision to create a holiday light display in Winfield's beautiful Island Park.  Dan Torrence, president of the Isle of Lights Board of Directors, credits Donna Homan DeMint, the board's founder, with the vision to create this annual holiday display to help downtown retailers as well as to entertain the people of Winfield and surrounding communities.  The Isle of Lights attracts between 26,000 to 30,000 cars a season and that is not counting how many people are in those cars, vans, and buses.

All the m oney for new displays and expenses comes from private and business donations, memorials and gate donations as well as grants from Winfield Convention and Tourism. Isle of Lights would not be possible without the support of its many volunteers, the City of Winfield and thei r awesome employees.

Volunteers will tell you that sometimes you might get a little chilly but seeing the joy on peoples faces as they experience these beautiful lights is all the payment they need.
