Campaign promises must not trump human suffering
Say "NO" to repealing the Affordable Care Act

It's nearing the deadline for the deadly Senate vote on the Cassidy-Graham Bill to repeal the Affordable Health Care Act! Thanks should be sent to Senator McCain and please remind your Senators, and the others as well, of their obligation to care for ALL citizens and follow McCain's example, not Chuck Grassley's!
Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, puts the responsibility for keeping campaign promises above the welfare of the sick and poor, according to a commentary in the Washington Post by Eugene Robinson (Sept. 22): "...Republicans campaign on this so often that you have a responsibility to carry out what you said in the campaign. That's pretty much as much of a reason as the substance of the bill'."
Is this going to be pretty much IT? Not if you get on the phone to your Senators, email them and twitter your support for their opposition to this inhuman bill out to as many people as you can - TODAY!
This latest version is more drastic than the last. It guts the ACA benefits and leaves millions of Americans without health insurance.[1] Even with "affordable" coverage, the bill takes away the guarantee for pre-existing conditions -- goodbye relief for heart conditions, diabetes or cancer. It gives control to the states, resulting in state-controlled funding that could provide an opening for hefty increases the health insurance," as well as slashing of Medicare benefits. Most notably, insurers like Blue Cross Blue Shield Association don't support it, stating that "it would 'increase uncertainty in the marketplace, making coverage more expensive and jeopardizing Americans' choice of health plans'."
