We are off to a great start at St. John's Parish Day School!  Drop-off went extremely well in spite of our sewer work, and pick-up was impressively quick; and safe also.  Thank you to both the well-prepared staff and to parents who've done so much to ready your children for the new school year.  We also thank everyone for welcoming the other new staff members with warmth.  There's a great feeling in the air, and we think we're going to have a terrific year!  Please read the contents of this Weekly News carefully each week.  We'll try our best to make what's in this communique both useful and timely.

Orders must be placed 7 days in advance. Simply fill out an account for your child and you are ready to order! For questions that cannot be answered on the ordering website, please contact Mrs. Suzanne Hustead, Lunch Coordinator, at shustead@sjpds.org.

 

PLEASE NOTE: Vocelli's Catering will not offer lunch on Fridays due to Pizza Fridays. All children will need a packed lunch on Fridays if they do not order pizza.

 

  

Early Childhood Arrival and Parking Procedures

Early Childhood classes begin at 9:00 am.  You may drop your child off beginning at 8:50 am in the classroom or in the car drop off line. Drop off line continues until 9:10 am.  If you arrive after 9:10 am, please plan to walk your child to the classroom.  Please note that each class goes to Chapel every morning at 9:10 am.  If you arrive after 9:10 and your child's class is not in the classroom, please remain with your child until the teacher or assistant teacher returns.

If you walk your child into school, please use the Main Entrance near the flagpole behind Clark House Administration Building.  You may park in the lot near the Historic Church, in the lot near the playground (use the second entrance) or the spots along the driveway. For the safety of our students, parents and staff, please do not park in the lots near the Terrace entrance used for the car drop off line and walk into the building. Please take a moment to view the Traffic Campus Map.

We strongly encourage using the car drop off line.  Children will be helped from the right side of their cars and guided into their classrooms.  This helps alleviate separation anxiety and builds a sense of independence for your child.

Join Mrs. Beth Hardon for Drop-in Chats in the the Clark House Conference Room! The drop-in topics have been chosen based on reoccurring and high interest topics from past parent discussions and questions.  We hope you can attend one sometime this fall.
