Lunations  (New and Full Moons)

Seven eclipses.   There are six eclipses in the calendar year of 2020, but since the one on December 26 is part of the pair that includes the one on January 10, we will actually look at seven of them as follows:

Dec. 26, 2019. Solar Eclipse
Jan. 10, 2020 Lunar Eclipse
June 5, 2020 Lunar Eclipse
June 21, 2020 Solar Eclipse
July 5, 2020 Lunar Eclipse
N ov. 30, 2020 Lunar eclipse,
Dec. 14, 2020 Solar Eclipse

Planetary Stations.  Annual retrograde cycles of Mercury, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. Venus and Mars retrograde this year. Mars will be in tropical Aries for six months. Whew!. and it will straddle between sidereal Pisces and Aries for eight months. That is because of the retrograde Mars. On Election Day 2020 when we vote for US President, Mercury stations direct, exactly what it did on Election Day 2000 when there was no decision in Bush v. Gore.

Aspects. Some of the more important aspects for 2020 are as follows.

Jan. 8, 2020. Jupiter-Ketu (South Node) conjunction; Jan. 12, 2020. Saturn-Pluto conjunction; Feb. 25, 2020. Mars-South Node (Ketu) conjunction; April 5, June 30, Nov. 12, 2020. Jupiter-Pluto conjunction; Dec. 21, 2020. Jupiter-Saturn conjunction.

Tropical Ingresses. Jupiter will be in Capricorn and Aquarius. Saturn moves into Aquarius. The Nodes move into Gemini and Sagittarius.

Sidereal Ingresses. Jupiter will be in Sagittarius and Capricorn. Saturn moves into Capricorn. Pluto enters Capricorn. The Nodes move into Taurus and Scorpio. We will go over how these planetary signatures affect each Ascendant.

Hi all

Welcome to new subscribers and those of you who continue to support my work. I am sending this out on Saturday (Day of  Saturn), April 11, 2020 at. 2:40 pm EDT.

First let me wish you all a happy Passover and Easter though we are all celebrating very differently than usual. Many of us have had virtual dinners, gatherings, and just contact with family, making me see that we do not need holidays to try to communicate more especially now that we have the virtual tools to do so. Please continue to adhere to social distancing and for those who must leave home, please do be careful. Once again I am leaving in my message that I have inserted in the last two newsletters about being discriminating about the advice you may be getting from non-professionals. I too am an astrologer and can give you my thoughts on cycles, but I would not dare to tell you which medications work and which do not. I leave that to the medical professionals.
Please scroll down for an important message about our current pandemic.

Please scroll down for information about the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction that occurred this last week and the three times it will conjoin this year. This is tied into the Saturn-Pluto conjunction, and the upcoming Mars retrograde that will square that area of the zodiac three times, as well as past cycles.

Beginning Jyotisa (Indian Astrology) begins Saturday April 18. I am very excited about beginning after the delay caused by the pandemic. It will be from 10:00 - 4:00 pm with an hour break for lunch, and is the first in the series that will offer the same syllabus as ACVA if you wish to go for certification though that is not required. Registration closes Midnight April 17. If you register you will receive the recordings and handouts. I have eliminated the early bird pricing, so there is only one price now.  Scroll down for more information about Beginning Jyotisa.

Watch for information about Advanced Jyotisa Master Classes, and a webinar on Venus as the planet approaches its retrograde cycle, having already hit the retrograde arc or shadow degree, which will be in tropical and sidereal astrology. But please if you are not interested in classes or webinars, do not unsubscribe since you do not have to read what is not relevant to you.

And please take time if you can to look at the evening sky, where you can see Venus, which is at its brightest as an evening star since it rises and sets after the Sun. It will be bright throughout April and early May as it moves closer to earth and approaches its retrograde station on May 13 where it will move closer to the Sun where it forms a conjunction or combustion on June 3 and disappears from view before it rises as the Morning Star as it rises and sets before the Sun. It will then station direct on June 25.

I am going to try to do a newsletter every other week, rather than once a month, to keep you informed as to new perspectives about planetary cycles, as this situation keeps unfolding, and there are just  so many planetary signatures to talk about in one newsletter. The next newsletter should drop in the coming week since I want to talk about Rahu (North Node), which, on April 25, will come to the eclipse degree of the solar total eclipse of June 21. It is already in a one degree orb for those using the True Nodes, so buckle your seat belts once again.

For those of you who I have not heard from in a while, please do not hesitate to drop me an email just to let me know how you are doing. You do not have to book a reading to let me know how you are faring.

If you listen to the recording of the 2020 Sensitive Degrees Workshop I presented in December, I spoke about 2020 as tumultuous though none of us thought this would occur. We still have a bumpy ride ahead with an up and down financial situation, governmental changes throughout the world, and other crazy phenomena brought about by three Jupiter-Pluto conjunctions (the first of which was April 5), three eclipses in June and July, Venus and Mars retrograde, and Mercury stationing direct on Election Day. Scroll down if you wish to order the almost five hour recordings (audio and audio-visual) of the 2020 Sensitive Degrees Workshop, which goes over this amazing year filled with so many different planetary phenomena.  Since we are into the 4th month of the year the price has been reduced.  SCROLL DOWN TO PURCHASE.

To purchase the Navagraha Webinar I presented in anticipation of the Ganesh Temple tour please scroll down.

If you wish to book a reading, you can make payment to the left and I will reach out to you with available dates and times. My next availability begins Wednesday April 22 for phone or skype. At the moment I am not making appointments for in-person readings.

Also remember that you can get notices from me through social media. Sign up through   Twitter,   Facebook and   Instagram.  And if your friends wish to subscribe to this newsletter they can go to  my Website and sign up. You can also get up to date information about workshops, appearances, etc., I hope to have that site updated soon. I realize especially in this pandemic people want to hear and see me rather than just read. I am doing my best to do some live videos, podcasts, and other media and I will let you know as soon as I do.

And please remember that by staying subscribed to this newsletter, in addition to monthly newsletters about planetary weather, you will also get separate newsletters about horoscope sales, classes, webinars, etc., so if you are not interested in learning astrology, but do want to read the news each month, please do not unsubscribe, just delete the advertisements when they arrive.

All good wishes

Ronnie

                     Jupiter-Pluto Conjunction

Reviewing the last few months. One reason this year is so extraordinary is that in whichever system (Vedic, western, uranian, etc.) you use there are indications that we have tough planetary signatures. There are so many astrologers who earmarked 2020 for quite a while citing Saturn-Pluto, eclipses, and the Nodes in the Nakshatras. If you missed them or want to review them you can read Feb. 2020 News & Views, March 2020, Part I, and March 2020, Part 2

I too started to see the signs last fall when I lectured on Eclipses at both Joni Patry's Future of Astrology Conference as well as Dennis Harness's Sedona Vedic Astrology Conference, and then I presented my annual Sensitive Degrees 2020, and as those of you know who signed up for it, I extended it to five hours (usually it is up to 3) due to so many planetary signatures and my experience has always been that it is not only one planetary action that causes something to occur, but usually three.

This year we have planets bunching together with multiple conjunctions all close together: Jupiter, Saturn, Pluto, Mars, Ketu (South Node) all gathering together over the past three months at various times in tropical Capricorn and sidereal Sagittarius. Many modern Indian astrologers even use Uranus, Neptune, Pluto at times when they are prominent in the sky and this year Pluto is that planet, first because of the conjunction with Saturn that occurred on January 12, and, which many astrologers, especially exclusively western astrologers, cite as the cause of this pandemic but in reality it is never just one planetary signature that causes major world events to occur, but when multiple events occur on the heels of each other, and those include the Saturn-Pluto conjunction, Mars-Ketu conjunction, Mars and Ketu both on the degree of the total solar eclipse of December 26, and the eclipses and Nodes repeating where they were in 2001.

Jupiter-Pluto conjunction. In a previous newsletter and in my Sensitive Degrees Workshop I said that the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction might be the most important signature this year, since it occurs three times, due to Jupiter and Pluto retrograding, and on the last conjunction, they occur on the same degree as the Saturn Pluto conjunction. They conjoin direct April 5, retrograde June 30, and direct again on November 12. The conjunction will still be within orb the entire month of April. These conjunctions occur between tropical 22-24 Capricorn, and sidereal 28 Sagittarius-0 Capricorn as follows.

  April 5, 2020. Jupiter-Pluto, Tropical. 24 Capricorn 53. Sidereal. 0 Capricorn 50. uttaraṣaḍha

  June 30, 2020. Jupiter R-Pluto R. Tropical. 24 Capricorn 06. Sidereal. 0 Capricorn 04.  uttaraṣaḍha
'
November 12, 2020. Jupiter-Pluto. Tropical. 22 Capricorn 51. Sidereal. 28 Sagittarius 49 uttarasadha. (This is same degree as the Saturn Pluto conjunction, which occurred on  January 12, 2020 at Tropical. 22 Capricorn 46. Sidereal. 28 Sagittarius 44.)

As you see the conjunction occurs between a 2 degree orb. That means that if you have any planets, angles, or points anywhere around these degrees you will continue to be hit with more of the same intensity that Saturn-Pluto ignited. It may be tiring, but the message really has to be to transform and change what you are doing in the area represented by the planet that the conjunction may touch. It actually could be amazingly empowering on a personal level.

Think about first experiencing Saturn and Pluto. The experience was Saturnian, which is limiting and obstructing, and then transformational which is Plutonian. But things first may be rough and you may have to downsize something, lose something, withdraw from something or someone, and in general go inward.

The Jupiter Pluto conjunction on the other hand are two planets that have to do with power and because Jupiter is expansion it means that you may be able to rebuild what Saturn has obstructed. But when a conjunction occurs three times, you must realize that the first time brings the idea, and the second one that is retrograde might mean that things have to be altered or not go quite according to plan, and then the final time is when you see the results of the transformation of energies. It is also saying that the first conjunction that occurred this week may bring too much optimism (ie virus abating, stocks rising) or other leads in your private life, and then the retrograde might make us rethink that because projects could get stalled or reworked until they rebound at the last conjunction.

Since Jupiter retrogrades between May 14-September 13, there will be plenty of time to get used to the fact that what you thought would be steady moving forward may just slow down only to rebound after Jupiter goes direct. Remember that the retrograde will not derail what you are doing, but it means that things may get stalled, you may not be able to complete what you started, but it also means that it is a good time to regroup and maybe transform what you were working on so that once Jupiter goes direct everything will be moving again. This is doubly important since it not only involves Jupiter but its conjunction with Pluto.

Remember that Jupiter and Pluto together can be a great combination for leadership and for expanding and transforming the way we lead others and feeling empowerment within ourselves. This conjunction, which occurs every 13 years, can be very fortunate when it is in the natal chart, and will also be strong when it is in any aspect to each other, but the conjunction is the center of power. And even if you practice very traditional jyotisa, which does not include Pluto, I do suggest that when it appears in the sky it is very powerful and where it appears right now in your chart will be transforming but remember to be patient as whatever it brings it will not manifest until after November and the final conjunctions.

Scroll down to see how it will affect your chart.

On a mundane level.  If you look at the dates above you will see that this is one reason that I do not think the Corona virus will disappear so quickly. If we think over the next month or two that social distancing has worked, we may be able to socialize again, but it would have to still be at a distance from one another, and if we all get too smug and complacent, which is very much what Jupiter can do especially with Pluto since it may intensify the over optimism we are all looking for right now,  there is a great possibility that the virus could return and the signs would begin to start when Mars squares Saturn and Pluto, as well as the degree of the conjunction starting in August and ending in December.

When I see that a major combination occurs three times due to the retrogrades I like to see when in the past this combination occurred. In the case of Jupiter-Pluto conjunction, even though they conjoin  every 12-13 years, the conjunction  recurred three times only once since 1900 and that was in 1955-1956 when the conjunction occurred on November 2, 1955, February 7, 1956 (retrograde) and June 16, 1956. During 1955-1956 there were quite a few events that changed the world order significantly:

1. Suez crisis in the Middle East precipitated by forcing Britain out of the Mid East, and then countries vying for autonomy over that region.

2. Hungarian revolt against the Soviet Union, and even though the Soviets put down the revolution, it had great influence and significance. The

3. The official beginning of the Vietnam War.

All these involved uprisings, borders being rewritten, and countries and people reclaiming their autonomy. Prior to the pandemic, we witnessed Brexit finally finalized on January 31, 2020 after the referendum passed on June 23, 2016, which under normal circumstances would be working out terms this year, as well as Iraq, Iran, and Afghanistan more forceful about taking back their countries and excluding the presence and influence of foreign powers.  For this reason, in addition to the virus I have been wondering if this would be a year that saw countries invading others, leaders changing due to elections, resignations, defeats, or death due to natural causes or assassination.

Additionally if a conjunction occurs three times due to a retrograde those conjunctions should be watched since they will hint at something the first time, recur moving retrograde, and then comes back for a final time. This is what happens with Jupiter-Pluto, especially since it returns in its final conjunction to the same degree as the Saturn Pluto conjunction. So those three planets will still do their dance, with Jupiter still 12th sign from Saturn, until the conjunction of December 21 when Jupiter will forge ahead of Saturn. This is another reason why we may be under the watch of this virus through the end of the year, and we must listen to what the scientific and medical community tell us to do and not resume activities as before too soon.

Because Jupiter and Pluto can be an exaggeration of power, there could be more ups and downs when it comes to power in the world, expanding borders, and countries reclaiming what they feels is theirs. This might be slowed up due to the pandemic, but there may be changes on a global scale to leaders and countries that will continue till the end of the year. Of course the U.S. election will no doubt be thrown into turmoil with many unexpected twists and turns, not simply because of Jupiter-Pluto but also due to the eclipse on July 5 (US birthday), Mercury stationing direct on Election Day, and Mars retrograde during the election. This Jupiter-Pluto conjunction in the past week has already seen Bernie Sanders withdraw from the race, and Boris Johnson in very critical condition with COVID 19, though he seems now to be recovering.

To find out where the April 5 Jupiter-Pluto conjunction  falls in your chart and what the planets and angles it conjoins may represent.

Look at the first conjunction that occurred this week to see what area of life needs to be expanded and transformed. I would use a one degree orb and if you have a planet, point, or angle between tropical 23-25 Capricorn, or sidereal 29 Sagittarius- 1 Capricorn you will feel this most acutely.  If you do not have anything at those degrees then look at the houses in your chart where Capricorn occurs in both zodiacs.

If the conjunction conjoins or aspects the following planets there will be expansion and even the temptation to move ahead too quickly with the areas of life they represent. If you become too overly confident or smug and spend too much or rely on something too much, you may have to readjust your plan of action and regroup when Jupiter retrogrades this summer. I always find that going back and rethinking will then allow whatever opportunity appeared in April to manifest in November, paving the way for things to fall into place.

Read below for the zodiac you use.

For those who practice Indian astrology.

The Jupiter Pluto conjunction is always most powerful when it conjoins a planet or angle in your chart. But the effects also apply when you receive the full aspect of Jupiter (seven signs away) or its special aspect (five and nine places away) this will also apply. Also remember that these planets show their generic meaning but you also have to take into account the houses they occupy and rule. These are just a few keywords. There are many more.

Sun.   power, vigor

Saturn.      sorrow, fear
Rahu (North Node). intensity, compulsion
Ketu (South Node). extremes, spirituality
Lagna (Ascendant) destiny, vitality.

Look at the house in which Capricorn falls in your chart. The following houses where Capricorn is located are affected if your Ascendant or Moon are one of the following signs.

For those who practice Tropical (Western) Astrology.

The Jupiter Pluto conjunction is always most powerful when it conjoins a planet or angle in your chart. But the effects also apply when you receive the square or opposition (more difficult in that it exaggerates and indulges) or forms a positive trine. Also remember that these planets show their generic meaning but you also have to take into account the houses they occupy and rule. These are just a few keywords. There are many more.

Sun vitality, individuality, ego
Moon emotions, habits, conditioning
Mercury communication, intelligence
Venus love, beauty, creativity
Mars physical energy, aggression, courage
Jupiter expansion, abundance
Saturn limitation, disciplined, fear

North node power, place where you must strive
South node place where it is easy, habits
Ascendant. personality, destiny

MC. career, father

Look at which house Capricorn affects in your chart. The following houses where Capricorn is located are affected if your Ascendant or Sun are one of the following signs. (Remember this is a general whole sign house system and if you are more sophisticated with your astrology you may work with unequal houses and can pinpoint more specifically. However these whole sign house systems still work.)

Aries. 10th house. Taurus. 9th house. Gemini. 8th house. Cancer. 7th house. Leo. 6th house. Virgo. 5th house. Libra. 4th house. Scorpio. 3rd house. Sagittarius. 2nd house. Capricorn. 1st house.

Message about Corona Virus Pandemic

Some of this is from the last issue and some of this is new.

We are living in very strange times, and although many astrologers including myself have been talking about the craziness of this year, and the rest of the year for quite a while now, I don't think anyone thought about something like this, so please all just don't overreact, since fear will overtake you. Pay strict attention to guidelines in your city, state and country, and go to the website for  Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for updated information even if you do not live in the U.S. Just remember to use hand sanitizer and wash your hands and do not touch your face and mostly adhere to social distancing no matter how stressful it is.  I promise it is not the end of the world, but it is the new normal for a while.

Most important please remember that we live in a community, and extend yourself if someone in a weaker position than yourself needs help if you can provide it within the new restrictions. And please do not stockpile or hoard supplies or food. There will continue to be production and if you take three times more than you need, someone else will not be able to find it at all. That is a personal request having been extremely frustrated while shopping.

For those of you who may live alone, or be affected by emotional and/or physical isolation, please reach out to family, friends, and colleagues. Don't hesitate to contact services in your community. Social workers, religious figures, and medical practitioners will continue to do their jobs.

Some of you have asked me to do a webinar and talk about the corona virus, when it began and when it will end. I have been reluctant to do this because I am not a scientist, researcher, or medical practitioner. I am an astrologer, and astrologers do not have all the answers despite some of them all over the internet claiming they do. Yes planets are changing signs and there are retrogrades and eclipses, and my own feeling is that we will be dealing with this crisis in one form or another until the Jupiter Saturn conjunction in December, when Jupiter will move ahead of Saturn, rather than behind it as it is now. We might see some diminishing of the virus, only to have it reappear again. And in the same way the stock market should be up and down and volatile for the rest of the year, so even if you buy low, and see your stocks rise, they can fall and rise and fall and rise throughout the year.

However I am not going to give you exact dates when the virus will stop since something like this does not have an exact ending date, like a play, or concert, or movie etc. and instead comes and goes in waves. Please be discriminating who you listen to since there are  many astrologers, psychics, healers, etc. who claim they know  when the crisis will end, that are completely at odds with what the medical professionals and scientists have said, based on the timing they have already observed in countries like China, South Korea and Italy. Please please please listen to  the advice of the medical professionals, scientists, and leaders when they tell you when to practice social distancing or even when you have to stay inside the house, no matter how difficult it is.

Please be very discriminating who provides advice, especially those who tell you which vitamins or herbs or tinctures you ingest because someone told you it would make the virus go away or prevent you from being afflicted by it. What is true is that a strong immune system will always help you to fight off any disease, and you may carry the virus without having full-fledged symptoms. But do not think you are immune and please do listen to the scientists as well as spiritual and religious leaders who will provide hope and faith. Most important, let's pray and meditate and focus on the positive energy that will come once this has passed.
