Saturday, September 30, 2017
As part of their continuing mission to encourage more people to discover the joy of traveling by bicycle, the
Adventure Cycling Association has designated
Saturday, September 30, 2017 as
Bike Your Park Day across the USA!
To join in the celebration, try riding in a new park, or ride in one of your old favorites. You can make it your own experience: ride your preferred distance; go with friends, family, or join a group; bike on trails or roads. Share photos of your ride on social media using the hashtag
#BikeYourPark.
When:
Saturday, September 30, 2017, 8:00pm
Where:
Century Cycles, 1621 Main Street, Peninsula, OH 44264
The ride is FREE as usual! We recommend that you arrive in Peninsula between around
7:00pm so that you have plenty of time to find parking, get yourself and your bicycle ready, and sign in. We start riding at
8:00pm sharp. The store will be open for the hour before the ride starts if you need any last-minute supplies.
The ride is about 14 miles long. You must have your own bicycle, helmet, and headlight. For more information, including directions, parking information, preparation and safety tips, and photos from past rides, go to:

So long, Petch!
It is with both fondness and sadness that we announce that
Mike Petcher, our General Manager in the
Medina store, will be retiring after 21 years at Century Cycles, on November 1, 2017.
If you don't have time to stop in to give Mike your regards, he says he can be found taking photos at Buckeye Woods in Medina or the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, riding the Towpath Trail, or playing bass with his band
Orchard Groove!
Best wishes for a happy retirement, Petch!
