Please join us for a fun-filled weekend celebrating Augusta Ironman 70.3. Saint Paul's Church is next door to the start of the largest Half Ironman in the world. We are opening our doors and welcoming athletes and spectators from all over the world!
Don't worry if you haven't signed up - there are lots of ways to get involved:
On race morning, we will open the River Room at 5 AM and serve complimentary coffee, water, and refreshments to athletes waiting to start the race as well as their family and friend support teams. Our busiest hours will be between 5 AM and 9:30 to 10 AM. Please join us in the River Room and help us make our guests feel at home. You can help serve refreshments, guide them to the restrooms, or if they are looking for a quiet space for prayer or reelection, you can guide them to the sanctuary. We also need volunteers to help make sure bathrooms are stocked with supplies.
|
After the 11 AM service, please join us by the front gates for Lemonade on the Lawn. The runners will be passing in front of the church and we will have a cheer station out front. EYC will lead the cheers. Join us with your cow bells.

Celtic Evening Prayer & Communion with Prayers for Healing
Sundays, 5:30 PM
This Sunday's guest musician is Laura Tomlin.
At the conclusion of Sunday's service Laura Tomlin will play J. S. Bach's famous Chaconne for Solo Violin. This is a famous 15 minute long composition of which the composer, Johannes Brahms, commented:
"On one stave, for a small instrument, the man writes a whole world of the deepest thoughts and most powerful feelings. If I imagined that I could have created, even conceived the piece, I am quite certain that the excess of excitement and earth-shattering experience would have driven me out of my mind. If one doesn't have the greatest violinist around, then it is well the most beautiful pleasure to simply listen to its sound in one's mind." The good news: we do have the "greatest violinist around" and you are invited to remain if you're interested in hearing this incredible composition.
