The L'Hommedieu Lecture is made possible through the generosity of the late Frances Bradley L'Hommedieu '26. It was created in 1982 to bring a distinguished individual to campus through a trust created by Paige D. and Frances B. L'Hommedieu '26. The lecture is open to all alumnae, friends and the general public and is free of charge.

Save the Date for AADC 95th Anniversary Weekend Celebration & Reunion 2018
We have so much to celebrate during our 95th anniversary! Save the date as we herald this important milestone, as well as celebrate Alumnae Reunion Weekend 2018. Events taking place during our anniversary weekend from April 19 to 21, 2018 include: Thursday - An Evening to Honor AADC Benefactors; Friday - Vanguard Reunion Luncheon; Saturday morning - AADC Alumnae Reunion Convocation in Voorhees Chapel, followed by afternoon activities; and Saturday evening - our Forward Together Gala: From Our Founding Into Our Future, to be held at the Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick. Fall Fun at AADC Young Alumnae Network "YAN-o-Ween" at Terhune Orchards
All alumnae are invited to join us for the second annual AADC YAN-o-Ween event on
Sunday, October 15, for a day of family fun at Terhune Orchards in Princeton, whose "Fall Festival" features favorite activities at the farm and live music. Terhune's Admission to the festival area is $8 (for ages 3 and up).
Lunch will also be available for purchase. YAN will meet up at 12:00 noon for lunch under the big tent.There is no admission fee to go to the farm store. Parking is at Terhune Orchards.

Thanks to all the alumnae and friends who participated in a day of inspiration and connecting at the second annual Victoria Dabrowski Schmidt '42 Workplace and Professional Development Symposium presented by the AADC at the Douglass Student Center on September 16. Special thanks to benefactor Victoria Dabrowski Schmidt '42 and Symposium Committee Chair Lisa Kaado '03 for helping make the day a success. orning plenary session, "Get Gravitas: How to Communicate Your Excellence without Saying a Word," and to

Calling Class Presidents and Fund Agents: Alumnae Outreach Training
The Alumnae Outreach Subcommittee will kick off the 2018 fiscal year with training on
October 2 at 6:00 pm with a pizza dinner and a 6:30 pm meeting start at the Ruth Schilling Hennessy Alumnae Center (phone option available). The training is designed to give presidents and fund agents an understanding of the AADC's goals and strategies moving forward to ensure a successful Reunion in April 2018.

Join sister alumnae in the Philadelphia area for
brunch and a
tour of the new Museum of the American Revolution on Sunday, October 22. At 11:30 am, enjoy a sit-down brunch at Positano Coast, located at 212 Walnut Street, with parking available either on the street or in parking garages on Second Street. At
1:
30 pm, walk over to the recently opened Museum of the American Revolution, located at 101 South Third Street, for a
tour. The cost is $35 per person

AADC New York City Regional Connection Group Outing to New York Botanical Gardens to See Chihuly Nights
Join sister alumnae in viewing the Chihuly exhibition on Thursday, October 26, from 6:00 to 10:30 pm, at the New York Botanical Garden, available in New York for the first time in over a decade. Our group tickets
include discounted admission to take in the Chihuly exhibition, magnificently illuminated in the evening hours amdist the beautiful backdrop of the outdoor gardens and conservatory, accompanied by live music. Food and drinks are available for purchase during the event.

Douglass Alumna Inez Phillips Durham To Be Inducted into the
Rutgers African-American Alumni Alliance 2017 Hall of Fame
Congratulations to
Dr. Inez Phillips Durham '57, an
AADC Society of Excellence inductee, who will
be honored by
the Rutgers African-American Alumni Alliance at the alliance's 2017 Hall of Fame awards gala as one of six new inductees on October 14. An active alumna, Inez is a
renowned psychologist, public school administrator and community advocate.

Luncheon
All alumnae are welcome to attend this important and informative meeting on Saturday, November 11, in Neilson Dining Hall at 8:30 am. Alumnae Council is held bi-annually to provide updates on the Associate Alumnae of Douglass College. We especially encourage Class Officers, particularly Alumnae Council Representatives, to attend this meeting and share pertinent
information with their classmates.
Refreshments will be served before and during the meeting.
A luncheon immediately following the meeting will include the presentation of the 2017 Margaret T. Corwin Award, the highest award for service to the AADC, to Debbie Lynch '79.
