Tree Stand Safety a Must

Treestand accidents can be avoided by simply wearing proper safety equipment.
Swatting mosquitoes and horse flies, while hoping to emerge tick and chigger free, I plunged into the sweltering August heat to set up tree stands. This task may trigger excitement as it symbolizes the fact that deer season is almost upon us, but it also needs to be approached with caution. Many accidents occur while setting up treestands.

CLC students at CFM's Annual Convention in 2017.
We are currently accepting applications for the Conservation Leadership Corps (CLC) program. If you know a high school junior or senior, or college student interested in a career in conservation and natural resources, this is the program for them.
The CLC gives students opportunities to learn about conservation advocacy and policy development, build leadership and communication skills and network with resource professionals across the state. This is a life changing opportunity that helps students when looking for internships and jobs.
