STAR Summit Call for Presenters--DEADLINE IS THIS FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 22!
We are excited to partner again this year with Nixa, Ozark and Willard schools to provide a great day of professional learning at STAR Summit on November 7.
The CIA Department is currently securing presenters at all grade levels and all content areas. Please consider presenting at the event! If you have prepared training for local PD, have something unique happening in your classroom, or just want to share your great instructional and technological ideas - WE NEED YOU!

You may present up to two sessions - it can even be the same topic - and be paid $50 per session! You can even present with a friend and split the $50! OR you may consider doing a "Deep Dive" session that spans across two sessions. There will be 3 breakout sessions, 50 minutes each, or one deep-dive and one 50 minute session. The maximum number of sessions that you can present is two 50 minute breakout sessions or one deep-dive session (1 hour 40 minutes).

To celebrate fourth grade students across the country getting into national parks for free throughout this year, Lyon Elementary fourth graders were invited to participate in an art contest to create pieces that will be featured in Wilson's Creek National Battlefield's annual calendar. The 20 students who attended the event today are winners of this contest and will have their artwork featured in the aforementioned calendar set to be released in December 2017.
