Reflecting on Summer 2017
Looking back on this summer season, it's easy to wonder where all of the time went. It seems like yesterday we began our 117th  year of CAMP-of-the-WOODS ministry with our New Years Celebration , yet here we are entering our 2017 Fall Conference Season. These past 10 weeks of Summer have proved meaningful and enjoyable for our guests as well as our staff.

We hosted 7,084 guests this summer, 469 Tapawingo campers, and more than 1,700 children were impacted by our Kids' Klub ministry. Combined with Tapawingo and our Teen Program, 300 young people made decisions to follow Christ this summer!  God was working in the lives of our summer staff as well, with several making the decision to rededicate their lives to Christ. We praise the Lord for answering our prayers so abundantly.

If you would like to see some of each week's highlights, take a look at our videos on YouTube or our weekly photo albums on Facebook!

Let them shout for joy and rejoice, who favor my vindication;
and let them say continually, "The Lord be magnified,
Who delights in the prosperity of His servant." -Psalm 35:27

Conference Season Beginnings
As we enter the early days of fall, the leaves have already begun to decorate the mountains with the brilliance of their rich colors. For CAMP-of-the-WOODS, autumn brings men's conferences, women's retreats, couples get-aways, and many other diverse ministry groups. Our full-time staff and LIFT students enjoy serving these guests along with observing the Lord working in their midst.

If you've ever considered getting your group away for a concentrated time of fellowship, training, and refreshment, this place has much to offer.  Come and enjoy delicious meals, comfortable rooms, indoor/outdoor recreational activities, fully-equipped meeting rooms, and of course, the breath-taking scenery of the Adirondack Mountains reflected in the shimmering waters of Lake Pleasant. In short, we are here to help make sure your event is a success, from booking to departure.

Please call 518-548-4311 for more information or to schedule your event!
Columbus Day Weekend
We would like to give a special thank you to the many volunteers who gave their time and talent during the last few weeks of summer as many of our summer staff returned to school. You, our wonderful volunteers, enable us to continue our outstanding service to our guests through the Summer Season, and we truly appreciate your work.

There are many ways to volunteer at Camp, whether during the Summer Season or for one of our Columbus or Memorial Day Work Weekends. We would love to have you join the team!

Columbus Day Weekend, October 6-9, 2017, is dedicated to closing down Camp for the winter. If your family or small group is looking for a service opportunity that couples hard work and fun fellowship, this is it. Projects include painting, light carpentry, grounds clean-up, housekeeping, and other specialized projects. Lodging and meals will be provided.

Personally, when our children were teenagers, we brought our whole family. It was good for each to work and give without expectation of reimbursement, fulfilling an ongoing parenting goal of ours. Because our small group embraced this service project too, we traveled together, worked alongside our friends, and met new ones as we tackled assignments and ate meals with each other. I can't recommend it enough from that side, and also from Camp's point of view, as we appreciate all the help. It's such a blessing for our staff to work alongside you.

If you would like to volunteer, please RSVP online . We look forward to serving with you!
