New Member Inquirers Class
If you are interested in learning more about Saint Luke's, the Presbyterian faith tradition, and what it means to be a member of this wonderful church, please join David Lower for New Member Inquirers Class this Sunday, September 24 and also Sunday, October 1, from 9:30am - 10:15am in the Session Room (room 109). New members will be welcomed during the 10:30 worship service on Sunday, October 1. During inquiry classes, Sunday School is available for children 3 and older, and child care for infants, toddlers, and twos. Contact David with questions: [email protected] / 770.393.1424, ext. 223.

Conversations About Worship

Please join us, this Sunday in the Session Room, after the 10:30am worship service for a congregational conversation about worship. Worship is, of course, the center of our life together, the primary source of God's expression to us, and the chief means by which we practice faithful response to God. 
 
In these conversations, we will be asking each other questions like, "How would you describe worship at Saint Luke's?" and "How do you experience God in worship?"  Our answers to those questions will yield insight and rich variety for us all to hear and enjoy. Everyone is welcome to attend more than one session, but priority will be placed on voices who have yet to be heard. All people and opinions will be respected and appreciated equally in our congregational listening. 
 
If you cannot attend this particular gathering, there are additional dates and times:
  • Sunday, October 1 at 11:45am, Session Room, #109
  • Sunday, October 22 at 9:30am, The Dock, #210/212,              (Children & Family Focused)

Tartan Trot
Kickoff Dinner
Please join the youth and their families for a Tartan Trot 'Kickoff' dinner on Sunday, September 24, at Vintage Pizzeria (our first corporate sponsor!), located at 5510 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd., from 5pm-7pm, as we celebrate a successful sponsorship campaign. Thanks to everyone who has made a pledge thus far! If you haven't yet done so, please consider sponsoring the 2018 race! Saint Luke's OWLS
OWLS stands for Older, Wiser, Loving, Seniors. We are a group of those 55+ who gather on the 4th Tuesday of the month for a home cooked lunch, prepared by our chef, Karleen Buchholz. We enjoy each others company, get to know new folks and renew old acquaintances. Please join us on September 26 for a luncheon in the Great Hall at 11:30am. Wednesday Evenings 
A Time to FEAST
All are invited to Saint Luke's mid-week programming: Feast! Come enjoy meals and faith formation opportunities (classes are grouped by age from 3 to adult) from 5:45pm - 7:15pm each Wednesday. Feast has begun and continues through November 1. Pick up a brochure in the lobby and register now on line! Or use the blue registration slip in your pew to register each week.

Family Promise, Double Header
Since it's been a while since we have been able to welcome homeless children and their parents at Saint Luke's, we are excited to offer the signup for two back-to-back weeks October 15-29. Yes, that's a mere four weeks from today. We would be especially grateful if you'd scroll in the signup to Friday, October 20 through Monday, October 23 and grab a slot or two while Betsy and I ( David King) are out of town and Beth Underhill is flying solo. Presbytery Hunger Action Month
September is Hunger Action Month and your Hunger Ministry Team is organizing the Presbytery Hunger Action Month Food Sort at your Atlanta Community Food Bank on Saturday, September 30, from 1pm-4pm.

The Presbytery of Greater Atlanta is teaming up with ACFB to reach their new goal - By 2025 everyone in their 29 county service area will have access to the nutritious meals they need when they need them. In the bringing about God's kingdom conversation, imagine what it would mean knowing we are a part of making that happen. What would that make possible for our city?

Marriage Enrichment Group (MEG)
The Marriage Enrichment Group will meet on Sunday, October 1, 5-6:30pm in the Finch Room #203. We meet once a month on Sunday evenings. There is childcare provided. Our goal is to enrich our marriages by intentionally spending time together as a couple, away from the many distractions of our busy lives.
