Autumn is a wonderful time to visit The Grove! The air is fresh and crisp, the leaves are changing colors, and fall festivals and activities are in full swing. Grove Folk Fest is October 1, and is the perfect event for you and your family to enjoy lively music, a hayride, a hearty picnic lunch, and much more. Register for the "Oak"tober Tree Trot and learn about native Illinois trees from the Village of Glenview's Robyn Flakne or camp under the stars during "Camping 101." Discover the world of Native Americans at a "Tipi Talk." There is something for everyone at The Grove. Finally, mark your calendar for our famous Arts and Craft Faire in November!

Grove Folk Fest
Sunday, Oct. 1, 11 a.m.- 5 p.m.
Spend a fun-filled fall day at The Grove! Enjoy learning about local history, live music, dancing, pioneer skills and blacksmithing demonstrations, hayrides, animal presentations, a delicious lunch, and more! 
Redfield Estate
The beautiful and historic Redfield Estate is offering 25% off the rental fee for holiday parties if booked by November 1st! The offer is valid on events held through January 2018. The charming venue is the perfect place for a family or corporate celebration.

Holiday Craft Faire 
Don't miss The Grove's popular Arts and Craft Faire running from Nov. 2-5 and 9-12. The buildings are lit up with holiday lights, there is a magnificent selection of contemporary crafts, unique seasonal decorations, baked goods, and gourmet food! Thursdays and Fridays,
10 a.m.- 8 p.m. and Saturdays-Sundays, 10 a.m.- 5 p.m.

Volunteer News and Opportunities
The Grove welcomed many new volunteers on Pioneer Day, June 24. They donned pioneer costumes and channeled a commendable pioneer spirit. Volunteers also kept visitors fueled for their pioneer pursuits with delicious food enjoyed on the Kennicott lawn. The dedicated work of volunteers provided the opportunity to learn, share and engage. Coming up in October is Grove Folk Fest and Make a Difference Day, followed by the Arts and Craft Faire in November. Click the links below to learn more and get involved!

Air Station Prairie
Visit the prairie this fall and enjoy all the autumn colors! Visit our LEED Platinum certified Interpretive Center to learn more about the prairie. Find out about prairie forbs, or bring your preschooler out to learn all about spiders! Our Yoga on the Prairie class takes advantage of the nicer weather to practice yoga on the porch!

America Recycles Day
Saturday, Nov. 11, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
Join us as we celebrate America Recycles Day. Learn about all the sustainable features the Kent Fuller Air Station Prairie has to offer, from our green roof to our geothermal heating/cooling system. Families can also take part in trail walks and learn to make some crafts out of everyday items.
