Spiritual Direction Offering. What is "spiritual direction"? Most basically, it is sitting down with a trusted Christian person in a confidential setting and discussing one's prayer life, what is happening in one's Christian pilgrimage, and how God may be acting and making Godself known in one's life. It can take place once a month or once every few months, even on an irregular basis. This is not about interminable psychotherapy, but rather relatively infrequent meetings, which can enable real spiritual friendship to develop over a period of time.

If you think you might be interested in exploring spiritual direction, you may talk with or contact Rev. Jill McNish at 973-819-5191. As well as having a PhD in Psychology and Religion from Union Seminary, she received training in spiritual direction at the Center for Christian Spirituality at General Seminary.
