Local celebrities take to the runway at Mission Central Celebration
A huge thank you to everyone who supported the 2017 Mission Central Celebration!

The event showcased the Coat of Many Colors Resale Shop through a fashion show and silent auction. We had a great time seeing our many friends and neighbors walk the runway including Mayor Jim Griffin, Mayor Linda Martin, and Mayor Richard Ward. If you'd like to see pictures from the event, please visit our Facebook page.

The event raised almost $30,000 to help empower our neighbors in need to improve their own quality of life.
Rev. Matt Ybañez joins Mission Central board of directors
We are pleased to announce that Rev. Matt Ybañez has joined Mission Central's board of directors.

Matt is the Minister of Missions and Evangelism at the First United Methodist Church of Hurst. Matt is an ordained deacon in the United Methodist Church and previously served as the Youth Minister and Assistant Youth Minister at FUMC Hurst.

Matt is passionate about both local and global missions and looks for creative ways to bridge the gifts of his church members with the community around us. As a board member, he'll have the opportunity to share his talents as we serve our neighbors in Hurst, Euless, and Bedford.
Community rallies for North Texas Giving Day
North Texas Giving Day was held on September 14th. Thanks to the 100+ people who donated to Mission Central, we raised more than $30,000 on this single day.

This annual event brings the entire North Texas community together to celebrate the work of the non-profits serving our area. In 2017, more than 100,000 gifts were given totaling more than 39 million dollars.

Donations on North Texas Giving Day are multiplied by bonus and prize funds. This year, the first $10,000 in donations to Mission Central were matched, dollar-for-dollar, thanks to anonymous donors.

If you missed this year's event, you can always make donations to Mission Central via our website. Stay tuned for news of next year's North Texas Giving Day date. You'll want to mark your calendar to participate in this day of sharing.
