From an Idea Board, to a Brand New Website - September 2017 Hot Jobs!
 
Do you ever have an idea pop into your head that you want to run with, but don't even know where to start? 6 months ago Marissa and I had the crazy idea to completely rebrand Choice - a successful company that's been in business for over 40 years, her family business, and unfortunately a company that has had the same "look" since 2005. 12 years, 50+ employees, and thousands of people put to work later, we thought - why not?! Taking on such a daunting task was not easy for either of us, but as a team we were able to find an amazing web designer and developer duo -  Lisa V Designs  and  Sally Tudhope Creative , to hold our hands through the process and be our guiding light. They were there for us every step of the way- helping to choose colors, fonts, layouts, and answering hundreds of questions we had at all hours of the day (literally, since Sally is from New Zealand!)
After a long 6 months, we are so happy to share with you that our sparkly new website is DONE! We hope that you love it as much as we do, and you find that it is just as beneficial to you as it is to us! We are so proud of the outcome and are very much looking forward to all of the good that is going to come from it- we now have a one-stop shop/destination for all of your staffing and recruitment needs. Thank you Marissa- for letting me run with this idea and being my partner in crime through the craziness! #dreambig

Our NYC luxury fashion client is seeking Sales Assistants and Front Door Greeters to assist on the weekends with customer service and merchandise in their flagship store. We expect the hourly rate to be $12.50/hr. Please let us know if you are available and interested!

Our client, a NYC fashion company, is seeking a  Freelance Communications Coordinator with 1-2 years of experience to join their team. The Communications Coordinator will provide support with expenses, organizing and preparing for meetings as well as sitting in and taking notes, competitive research, and supporting with internal promotional campaigns (esp. with launching platforms). The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, have a go-with-the-flow attitude, be resourceful, and be able to meet deadlines. This position would start ASAP and be a full time position. We expect the hourly rate to be $17-19/hr.

Our NYC fashion client is seeking a Key-holder to join their team! The main responsibilities will include ensuring customer's needs are met, resolving service issues, ensuring the presentation of the product is of a high standard, and driving sales. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service skills and have at least 2 years of retail experience. Experience in luxury and footwear is a plus! We expect the salary to be $19/hr plus commission. 

Our  Long Island -based freight/logistics client is seeking an  Executive Assistant  with  1-3 years of experience  to support the President.  Ideal candidate must be comfortable supporting a high-level person in some capacity, from travel arrangements to expenses.  This executive is extremely hands-on and would also like to find someone with an interest in sales who can help on special projects/pitches. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work close to home and wants to work for an amazing company. We expect the salary to be BOE.

Our client, a  Long Island  based footwear company, is seeking an experienced  Designer  with experience in the footwear industry to join their team and work with licensed brands. Duties include communicating daily with overseas on all aspects of the development process, and working closely with designers. Ideal candidate has prior footwear experience, is a hard worker, and is proficient in Adobe Illustrator. We expect the salary to be around  $40-60K.

Our North/Central New Jersey client, a private home fashions company, is seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst to join their team. The AP Analyst will be responsible for receiving and verifying invoices, paying vendors, and processing payments. The ideal candidate will reside within an hour of the job, have a minimum of two years of experience, and have a four year accounting degree. Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics (Navision Software) is a plus. We expect the salary to be $50-55K.

Our NYC client, an active and outerwear company that specializes in youth apparel, is seeking a Product  Specialist to join their team! This role will be responsible for Old Navy/Gap business design and development processes. The ideal candidate will have experience being in front of buyers, be extremely detail oriented, and have strong communication skills. Experience in tech packs is a MUST. We expect the salary to be around $55K. 

Our client, a  NJ-based consumer goods company, is seeking a  Merchandiser to join their handbag division on a consulting basis. Initially, this position may be full time, but has flexibility to be part time. This position will be responsible for assisting with sku planning, creating and maintaining merchandise/design calendar, managing style numbering process, generating line sheets, and organizing and facilitating with buy information from sale to production. The ideal candidate will be experienced and have strong managerial and organizational skills. We expect the hourly rate to be about  $37-46/hr. 

Our client, a NYC-based boutique PR agency, is seeking a Freelance PR Account Executive to join their team. They are looking for a self-starter with strong public relations skills and contacts to represent various high-profile bars, restaurants, personalities, and spirits brands. The ideal candidate has 2-3 years of PR experience, strong media contacts and relationships/pitching skills, and excels in multi-tasking. Experience in wine/spirits preferred but not required. This position will likely begin as part-time and freelance with the potential to become more.  We expect the salary to be based on experience.

Our NYC client, a real estate management company, is seeking a Payroll Administrator to join their team! The Payroll Administrator will handle all payroll related functions including but not limited to processing payroll, taxation forms, benefits and insurance, and maintaining employee data. The right hire will have hands on experience processing 1,500+ employees in multi states, and will also be able to speak to the complex components of processing quarterly and year end payroll. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of accounting & payroll experience, be a proactive team member, and have excellent communication skills. Union experience and BJ Murray and/or ADP payroll experience is preferred. We expect the salary to be $70K.

Our NYC client, a luxury global retailer, is seeking a Recruitment Manager for their growing presence here in the US. The current team is small, lean, and takes pride in their ability to multi task. The ideal candidate will have experience in both luxury retail recruitment and corporate searches. They need someone who can jump in and navigate without hand holding. If you are a skilled luxury recruiter seeking a new place to call home, the environment is kind, warm, thoughtful... and though busy, well balanced. A breath of fresh air. The right hire would need to be entrepreneurial and have the ability to manage junior staff. Salary based on experience, but guestimate is $75-85K + Bonus and clothing allowance. 

Our
 Long Island  client, an E-commerce footwear company, is seeking a  Graphic Designer  to join their team. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for designing new site pages, banner ads, social media content, and email newsletters. This position will also be encouraged to identify and propose new opportunities for the brand in order to improve site experience and usability as well as conversion rate. Ideal candidate is detail oriented and can handle multiple projects simultaneously. Strong understanding of Adobe Creative Suite, interaction design, and web and mobile standards is a MUST! The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit, prior web experience, and copywriting experience. We expect the salary to be up to  $80-90K * Candidates who do not live on Long Island are still encouraged to apply as the client is flexible and open to them working from home. There will be two small projects that need to be completed!

Our client, a NJ-based consumer goods company, is seeking a Planner to join their baby division. The Planner will be responsible for the coordination of inventory planning and account management functions for all major Big Box Retailers. The Planner will also work with the Sales Team and key retail associates to develop successful strategies for effectively executing new modular rollouts at store level.  We expect the salary to be $80-100K.

Our luxury fashion client is seeking a Director of HR to join their NYC team. The Director of HR will be responsible for managing, developing, implementing, and coordinating all HR initiatives, projects, and programs. This includes employee relations, compensation, recruitment, performance management, talent management, and training & development. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of HR Generalist experience, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to coach and lead senior managers. Experience supporting retail is a MUST! Union experience is a PLUS! We expect the salary to be up to $170K plus bonus.
