A Message from the Superintendent

Dear Lovejoy Community:

One of our unique Lovejoy traditions is Leopard Friday (Details below). This community event is a great opportunity for a fun family evening. The Lovejoy High School courtyard will be set up with a variety of activities your children will enjoy. The high school will also have a fund raiser BBQ dinner catered by Sonny Bryan's. Our state-ranked volleyball team will face Highland Park at 5:30 PM in the competition gym, and our football team will take on district powerhouse Highland Park at 7:00 PM in the stadium. For your convenience, we have added an ATM inside the stadium and Kona Ice will be on site selling snow cones. This is also one of the two football games where we bring in a bounce house for our younger kids to add a little fun for them as well. The bounce house will be located inside the stadium adjacent to the home concession stand. I would recommend coming out to the courtyard activities even if you do not plan to attend either the football or volleyball game. I hope to see you all on Friday night.

Lovejoy ISD Pre-Kindergarten
Space Available

Our district has offered a Pre-K program as a part of our employee daycare program for the past 11 years. This program offers enhancements in music, fitness, art, library, science, technology, engineering, and math. We are enthusiastic about providing a Lovejoy education for community members looking for a rich learning experience which will provide a firm foundation for kindergarten and beyond.  The first week of school we received an email from a parent with a child in the program and this is what she said:

"My daughter loves her new school and runs to get dressed every morning (used to throw a fit). Her teachers are great."
