Lightning Systems and New Eagle debut zero-emissions electric system for Ford Transit
Lightning Systems will introduce, in partnership with New Eagle, a zero-emissions full electric system for Ford Transit passenger wagon, van, cutaway and chassis cab models. The LightningElectric zero-emissions package is available for Ford Transit as part of Ford's eQVM program. Full story

Daimler Trucks' Mitsubishi Fuso division launched its all-electric eCanter work truck in New York City, banking on the power of the Big Apple to jumpstart widespread demand of the low-noise and zero-tailpipe emissions truck. Full story
Kenworth joins SuperTruck II project
Kenworth will participate in the Department of Energy's SuperTruck II program, collaborating closely with the PACCAR Technical Center and DAF Trucks, a subsidiary of PACCAR, to develop fuel-efficient technologies. Full story
Capstone successfully completes track testing of Kenworth microturbine-powered hybrid electric truck
Capstone Turbine Corporation has successfully completed track testing of a Kenworth Class 7 hybrid electric work truck using its 65kW microturbine as an on-board range extender. The successful track testing confirmed both high-speed performance as well as operation on 20 percent grades. Full story
