High Holy Days at TBC
Erev Rosh Hashanah is Wednesday, September 20. Services start at 7:45 pm
Tickets and the HHD Newsletter have now been mailed to everyone who returned their membership package. If you haven't sent back your membership package yet, please contact the TBC Office directly at (203) 544-8695 or via email at officeadmin@templebnaichaim.org.

Michael Heft Food Drive and Miriam Messe Diaper Collection!
It is time once again for the food and diaper
 drive to help local food banks. The items will be delivered to the Redding Food Pantry, Wilton Food Pantry, the Women's Center of Greater Danbury, and the Community Action Agency of Western CT. Lists are
online and will be passed out during Rosh Hashanah services.
Items will be collected during Yom Kippur services. Please be as generous as you are able.

Shofar Blowing - September 30
Please bring your Shofar to help us with a tekiah geolah at the end of Neilah services. Help us celebrate the end of the Yom Kippur holiday with your Shofar blast during the final service on September 30.

Men's Club Sukkah Raising & Lowering
The Men's Club will be raising our
new sukkah on Sunday, October 1 (10 am) and taking it down on Sunday, October 15 (10 am). We need your assistance in getting this job done. This is always a fun event with much camaraderie and coffee plus... If you have one, please bring a stepladder. Please RSVP to Jeff Spector at

Move Bimah after the High Holy Days
The Bimah will return to its usual location at 10:00am on Sunday, October 1. We know that you will be full after Break-fast so this is a mitzvah that will help get you back into shape. We will need volunteers to help the Cantor. RSVP to

Our ancestors carried the Ark for 40 years in a desert. All we need is a few hours of your time in an air conditioned building. Thank you in advance for helping us after the High Holy Days.

Join us for another fun Shabbat Family Service starting at 6:00 pm with a kid-friendly Preneg (pizza & veggies). At 6:30 pm, song, story and worship will be followed by a birthday celebration and oneg with a certified nut-free option at the dessert table. If you will be attending the preneg, make sure to

Save the Date for Stop Hunger Now: October 21
 On Saturday, October 21, TBC will be participating in the 7th annual Rise Against Hunger (formerly Stop Hunger Now) packaging event in Wilton. Last year we packaged over 167,000 meals that were sent to Haiti. TBC was well represented by about 90 volunteers.
Our goal is to package over 160,000 meals this year and raise $3,500 as a Congregation that will fund 12,000 meals which will be sent to hungry children in developing countries. If you would like to support this event, send a check to TBC and note that it is for Rise Against Hunger or
contribute online. This year each meal costs $0.29!
The sign-up will be later in September and further details will be provided soon. Don't forget that children 5 and older can help (our 5-year-olds last year had a fantastic time and really contributed!). If you have any questions, please feel free to contact

A wonderful way of celebrating special simchas, such as birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, the birth of a child or grandchild, is sharing your nachas with the entire congregation by sponsoring the Shabbat Oneg, Preneg or Flowers for the Friday of your special week. No special occasion? You can still sponsor a Shabbat! New Jewish Senior Services Hospice Volunteer Training Dates!
Chaifetz Family Hospice will be holding a two day Hospice Volunteer Training Program for anyone interested in giving their time and compassion to terminally ill patients and their loved ones. Training will be held at Jewish Senior Services, 4200 Park Avenue, Bridgeport, CT on
Sunday, October 15th and Sunday, October 22nd from 9:00 am - 5:00 pm. Training materials and meals will be provided free of charge. If you would like to sign up or to learn more about hospice training, please email

| Don't Forget the Turnover Shop!
Temple B'nai Chaim receives 60% of the proceeds from your donations to the Wilton Turnover Shop, a non-profit thrift shop located in the Village Market building in Wilton Center.
The Turnover shop is run entirely by volunteers and benefits the Wilton schools' PTA and local nursing and home care. If you are cleaning out your closets, the shop will accept seasonal clothing, house wares, small furniture and collectibles. For further information, please email consignments@templebnaichaim.org.
