The 2017 Lafayette Art & Wine Festival was a huge success -  THANKS TO YOU! 
 
The village was built! The weather was perfect!! The crowd came, the wine and beer were flowing, the kid zones were packed, the artists' work was outstanding, the booths dazzled, the food vendors, food trucks and restaurants offerings were delicious, the free water stations were appreciated and the bike valet was packed ... what more could we ask for. We thank you one and all for your support and effort. Thanks to all the volunteers who worked to help make the event such a huge success from setup to take down and everything in between:

5k Certified Run 8:00am, 10k Certified Run 8:15am, 2mi fun run/walk 8:45am. Live music, pancake breakfast, Healthy Lifestyles Fair.

Register here and chose your local school: Acalanes Dons, Burton Valley Bobcats, Campolindo Cougars, Happy Valley Huskies, Lafayette Leopards, Miramonte Matadors, Springhill Scorpions or Stanley Wildcats.

How can you participate? Put your company name on the t-shirt. Show the community you support our local education while promoting your business. Host a commercial booth during in the Health Lifestyles Fair near the race route.

Movie in the Lafayette Plaza "Sandlot"
Friday, September 22, 7:30pm, Lafayette Plaza Park
Come out to Lafayette Plaza Park on September 22nd at 7:30pm for a Movie in the Plaza! Sponsored by the Lafayette Youth Commission and in partnership with the Senior Commission, we will be showing the "Sandlot"! (Rated PG for some mild language). It is a FREE event, but donations are greatly appreciated! All donations will be used for Youth Commission supported causes and events! Grab something to eat and bring a seat! Food and beverage available at surrounding restaurants.

15th Annual BORP Revolution Ride
It's not too late to support Farshid Ramani's 2017 Revolution Ride benefiting BORP's life-changing adaptive sports and recreation programs for children, youth, and adults who have physical disabilities. All the money raised will benefit BORP's programs and have a direct impact on the lives of their participants. Solar/Electric Vehicle Open Houses
Saturday, Sept. 30 and Sunday, Oct. 1, 8am-5pm
Visit and learn from several Lafayette residents who will share with you their experiences installing solar energy and leasing or purchasing electric vehicles (EVs). This free Open House weekend is organized by Sustainable Lafayette and provides an opportunity to visit homeowners in your neighborhood to see how it all works and what their experiences were like. Social Media Workshops Social Media Workshop Series - Facebook Ads 101 for Local Businesses
October 11, 6pm-7:30pm, Homework Center at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center
We'll walk through the basics of DIY Facebook advertising so you can decide if it's worth trying to use it for your local business. Speaker: Robin S. Fox, Digital Strategist. Admission is free but registration is requested. All workshops are held from 6-7:30pm (check-in begins 5:50) in the Homework Center at the Lafayette Library and Learning Center.
