Schultz Families:
We would like to wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Summer! Thank you for your amazing support of our  school, staff, and families throughout this school year!

While enjoying your time with family and friends during the Summer months, please be sure to build in both reading experiences and math practice. This will not only build upon the growth that your child has made this year but also ensure they are ready for next year's learning opportunities.

Again we are so appreciative of all that you do, and we are excited to continue our educational partnership next year!

To our 5th grade families, we wish you all the best as you move on to Dempsey next year. Please know that Schultz will always be your elementary home, and we look forward to watching you succeed in 6th grade and beyond!

Thanks again, and enjoy your Summer!

Thank you volunteers for a great day!
Your time and energy are very much appreciated.
THANK YOU to PTO
for funding the purchase of
Field Day ribbons and refreshments!

Dear Elementary Parents/Guardians,

As the last day of school is quickly approaching, it is time to consider what will happen with your child's lunch account balance at year-end.

Your student's lunch account balance will remain in the account over the summer and will be available to your child at the start of school in the fall. If your child will be moving to a new building next year, the account balance will transfer to the appropriate building. If your child is moving out of the district or you wish to have a refund for any reason, please email  [email protected]
or call 740-833-1866 to make arrangements for a refund.

NO Charging of Meals begins Monday, May 21, 2018:

All students must have sufficient funds for meal purchases beginning  Monday May 21, 2018. Charging a meal when no funds are available will not be allowed through the end of the school year. Now is the time to monitor your child's account balance carefully. Current balances can be found on-line at  www.SPSEzPay.com.

No lunches will be provided without sufficient funds. Students will be given an alternative meal of PBJ graham bar, cheese stick, and a milk if students do not have lunch money or a packed lunch is not provided by the parent.

You may prepay for meals to cover the remainder of the school year if you wish. The remaining school days beginning on  Monday, May 21st is 7 days. To determine the amount of money to prepay for lunches, take the number of days your child will be eating a school lunch x the price per meal = the amount needed to finish the school year. The school meal price for Grades K-5 is $2.70 per meal. Reduced lunches are $.40 per meal. Ala carte items would require additional money and/or breakfast at school. If your child's account is in a negative balance, that amount will need to be figured into the total as well. Please call your child's building cashier if you are not sure of the amount needed to cover your child's lunches through the end of the school year. Questions concerning account balances can also be answered by calling the food service director, Sally Rathje, 740-833-1866,  [email protected] or the Assistant Supervisor of Food Service, Tammy Cain, 740-833-1868,  [email protected]

Thank you for your assistance in keeping your child's lunch account balance current.

Sincerely,
Sally J. Rathje, Director of Food Service                                       [email protected]
