And since we're sent too, we have a lot to learn!
This Sunday we'll continue our focus on the book of Acts.
Ministry Under Direction:
Hearing and Doing What the Spirit Tells Us

St. Giles will be hosting Brad Long and Mary Ellen Conners on the weekend of October 13-15, for a conference, "Ministry Under Direction: Hearing and Doing What the Spirit Tells Us." The conference is free and open to all, and will be a great boost for all who want to grow in their service to the Lord in the power of the Spirit.

Brad is the Director of PRMI, a Holy Spirit renewal ministry, and has been used by the Lord on a number of occasions here to boost us toward the next things God is doing. You can read about some of Brad's experience and ministry here: https://www.prmi.org/about/ministry-team/75-rev-dr-brad-long.

Mary Ellen is the Director of Prayer Ministry for PRMI, and has taught hundreds about prayer across our nation and internationally. You can read some about Mary Ellen here: https://www.prmi.org/about/ministry-team/78-mary-ellen-conners.

Brad will be presenting on how to hear from God and make good use of what he's telling us. We have been growing in how we make use of words of knowledge during prayer ministry and healing services. Brad will offer further instruction on that, and will teach on another gift, prophecy - what it is about and how it works as a part of our ministry equipment. He will also teach about how we can grow in our readiness to move into such giftings (1 Corinthians 12:31 and 14:1).  Mary Ellen will be presenting on how we can undergird and support our various ministries with prayer, how to pray for leaders, and so on.

Here is the basic schedule for the weekend:
  • Friday, 7 PM.: Teaching and Ministry time
  • Saturday, 9 AM: Teaching and Practicum
  • Saturday, 7 PM.: Teaching and Ministry time
  • Sunday, 9:30 AM and 11 AM: Worship and Ministry Time
All are welcome! Come and learn more about what God is doing, and be readied for an expansion in your own giftings for ministry.

Exercising Our Faith Aerobics Class
Mondays at 10 AM in Patterson Facilitated by Trisha Holland

This will be a low impact class that almost anyone can do.  The moves will be such that you can take it to whatever level you are comfortable in doing.  The aim is to get the blood pumping better through your body which moves oxygen to each system in your body.  If you can march in place and wave your arms, you are doing aerobics.

Just wear comfortable clothes and decent sturdy shoes (i.e. tennis shoes) and if you want bring two bottles of water to use as weights (and drink after class).  We will not need mats as we will do all stretches etc. from a chair. The leader is "over the hill" so don't think age is an issue.  You can feel better after even light exercise so come and check it out and exercise your faith.
