PANELISTS NEEDED
Do you want to be a panelist? This is your chance!

YANA DC's fall panel is "Responding to Upheaval: Roles & Opportunities for Nonprofits". This will be a timely opportunity to discuss how charities and advocacy organizations respond when upheaval occurs ,  be it natural disasters, like the recent destruction brought by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma, or political turmoil, such as that stemming from actions and proposals from the Trump Administration. The panel will cover issues like securing the fundraising needed to support those urgent efforts, capitalizing on record-breaking fundraising, staffing for the short-term and the longer-term, and addressing fraudsters who prey on the goodwill of donors.

If you would like to share your expertise by joining this panel, please contact Education Work Group chairs  George or Daniel . If you would like to learn from practitioners who faced these issues, please stay posted for more information about the event!

VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES
YANA DC is seeking a DC-area nonprofit organization that serves youth living in poverty and/or who are homeless to be a partner for a volunteering opportunity this fall. If you are familiar with such an organization and would like to recommend it as a potential partner, please email Volunteer Work Group chair Lynn.
