Dear Parents and Guardians,

REMINDER! There is NO SCHOOL Monday 11/6 or Tuesday 11/7 for Professional Development.

Volleyball: Congratulations to the 8th grade lady Vikings on their undefeated season. This group of young ladies were not only undefeated this year but also last year as 7th graders. They will be a great addition to SV next year. Keep working hard ladies!

Athletics: Fall Sports have officially ended and students should be preparing for the winter sports of Basketball, wrestling, and swimming. If your student already competed in a sport, they need to get the Section 7 Re-certification form from Ms. Genovese. If they have yet to compete, they need to submit their physical form along with the other participation documents.

Recognition: Congratulations to 8th Grader Shana Gilmour on her recognition from the "Community Action Agency of Delaware County" (CAADC, inc.) for her work on providing socks to homeless individuals and families. She gathered over 250 pairs of socks to be distributed throughout shelters in Delaware County.

Congressional App Challenge: Building on last year's Verizon App Challenge winners, a group of students have submitted a concept for a new app. However, this year the challenge includes the need to provide some of the code for the app concept. The students learned some basic coding for submission of their app.

Student Led Conferences: The Sign Up Genius link will be coming out soon for our November conferences. You will be able to select times that are convenient for you. I will be sending a special message this coming week. Please be on the lookout for the link.

Have a great weekend,
