This week's adventures...
Happy November! This month (like most) will fly by, as we experience the darkness of shorter days and the gift of shorter weeks! In no time at all we will be anticipating the Thanksgiving holiday and the arrival of the Advent season.
The week got off to a stormy start, as our Monday morning "wake up" resulted in unexpected damage and power outages due to the storm! While many of us experienced damage to our yards, our school grounds were also impacted by the high winds and rain. A special word of thanks to Mr. Guillotte for the additional effort and hours that were necessary to get our campus back to its stellar appearance!
The wonderful whirlwind of a week continued as our school families enjoyed a perfect weather night for trick or treating on Tuesday evening. Immediately following, our students awoke to a new dawn on Wednesday, as together we celebrated the holy men and women who persevered in our faith to experience the full unity with Christ in heaven! Thanks to Mrs. Shaughnessy and our School Events Committee, our school family experienced yet another Feast Day Celebration to its fullest! All enjoyed a beautiful Mass, followed by our traditional Trunk or Treating! Numerous parents shared of their TIME, TALENT and TREASURE as demonstrated by their willingness to walk with us to Mass, their openness to participate in the trunk or treating, and their generosity in donating the candy for our little saints! Thank you to all who were involved in this collaborative effort!
I look forward to seeing many of our school families this weekend at our annual
Vendor Fair
! While it may seem too soon to think about Christmas shopping, this school event is a wonderful opportunity to shop while benefiting our school! Various vendors, food for the family, raffle baskets and maybe even a quick massage will all ultimately contribute to our fundraising success this school year! See you on
Saturday between 10am and 2:30pm
! Students who stop by to shop with their families should make certain to check in at the Spirit Wear table to secure their opportunity to show school spirit on Wednesday, November 8
th
.
Finally, next week we welcome the opportunity for our teachers to meet with all of you to discuss your child(ren)’s progress. Today you should have received your confirmation of appointment notice. Please contact your child's teacher should a conflict exist, however much effort was given to assuring you received one of your three time preferences.
Please keep our teachers in your prayers as they will be on a spiritual retreat tomorrow!
Finally... don't forget to
"FALL BACK"
this weekend and enjoy an extra hour of sleep!
Have a wonderful weekend and God bless.
