Halloween at the Roundhouse has always been a lot of fun. This year was not different. On October 28th and 29th, nearly 14,000 visitors took advantage of this fantastic family event and braved the brisk fall weather to attend.
There was something to do for the entire family. As usual the haunted house was a spooky favorite of many guests. If the haunted house was a little too spooky, visitors could listen to ghost stories from the hobos.
The debut of the new Grand Scale Train Ride was a huge success as guests lined up to be among the first to ride. Our the brand new costume contest brought out lots of participants in dramatic costume to take part. Everyone was able to find something they enjoyed!
This year, in addition to the new Grand Scale Train ride and costume contest, we also added a new concession stand. This was a fantastic option for visitors who took advantage of a light meals and warm drinks while waiting for the haunted house, or returning from the Grand Scale Train ride.
Guests were so appreciative of the efforts that went into making this event a success, one wrote
