150 Each!
Thanksgiving Outreach

Instead of providing our traditional Thanksgiving Baskets, we are supporting  The Food Basket this year. That means we have an opportunity to donate food items and sweat equity through distribution. Here's what we're doing:

#1: We pledged to bring 150 packages of instant potatoes and 150 jars of peanut butter.  These need to be at the church no later than noon on Friday, November 10th.

#2: We pledged to send volunteers to support the distribution effort from 8-10 on Tuesday,11/14, and Saturday, 11/18.  EYC will be making breakfast tacos and distributing food on the morning of 11/18.  Any parishioners who are interested in supporting the 11/14 distribution can either contact Lisa directly at the Food Basket, email Anne Bartlett at anne.g.bartlett@gmail.com or text Anne at 979-480-7574.

Paul Butt as Dracula
Trunk or Treat Highlights!

We had a great turnout for our third annual Trunk or Treat night. Paul Butt as Count Dracula, played a Spooky Organ Concert and many children and adults came in costume for the fun.

Check out our Facebook Group for photos and check out our website for a recording of the concert.

St. Timothy's Artist-in-Residence Scholarship

Dear Parishioners,

Beautiful music is such a significant part of who we are at St. Timothy's and in the spirit of continuing to strengthen and build our music offerings here, Paul Butt, the Vestry and I felt strongly that investing in the music gifts and talents of young people right here in the community as well as bolstering our own offerings was not just important but strategic. In order to achieve this, and playing off the former STARS name, we now launch the St. Timothy's Artist-in-Residence Scholarship.

Auditions were held in mid-October by auditioners Chris Hutchison and Paul Butt and an 8-month internship was offered to the two vocal finalists - Leda Rice and Gabrielle Tyler - both students at Brazosport College who both accepted. Upon completion of the internship program overseen by Paul, these two will each receive a $3,500 scholarship to the institution in which they are enrolled, thanks to generous parishioners, to assist in funding their continued musical study. Paul will introduce to you our two new interns this coming Sunday.

We are excited to have these two young women in our midst and I hope you will welcome them warmly. Our prayer and expectation is that this initial work is just the beginning of  STARS effort and over time that this will grow as we seek to collaborate beyond our walls while also centering music opportunities here within the parish next year and beyond.

Faithfully,

Brendan+
