October 2017 Newsletter
Listening Circles in Charlottesville
Hello from Charlottesville! As you know, a lot has happened in this town since my last newsletter. The town is still recovering, and much is being learned, discussed, healed, worked through, and created as the town is finding its way forward. I've been processing myself, participating in various community events along the way. One such event, organized by local resident, Lucas Coiffe, was Listening Circles, where small circles of chairs set up on the Cville downtown mall as "listening circles" - each with a facilitator (I was one of several) - where anyone could sit down and express anything they needed to say, and be heard, or just listen to others. It was a rich and meaningful experience with honesty, vulnerability, ideas, and heart shared by adults and children alike. I also was part of the Community Action Team last week in another community event, Recover! Charlottesville - using theater, psychodrama, and storytelling for overcoming PTSD and community healing. We had a kickoff event, and there will be monthly workshops at the Haven on the 27th of each month for the next 6 months. Details below.

In other news, happy to welcome PepsiCo and The Congressional Hunger Center as two new clients last month, and had a lovely time facilitating Creative Facilitation Using Improv & Storytelling for an awesome group in DC. Will be offering another one - this time half-day - workshop on November 17th - details below. And, a 201 workshop - for anyone who has taken any of the the previous workshops in the CF series - will be offered in December, as well as a CF Mastermind group option. More in that in the next newsletter.

The Cville Creativity Network will be back this month with a lively session on MIMA (music improv), led by Caleb Dance. Details below.

And, if you want to use your awesome creativity to create your unique signature business, product, workshop, or service offering, I offer a 30-minute free, no obligation consultation to see if and how Creative Emergence Business Coaching might support your creative life and work, or join the FB group for inspirations, links, and thoughts related to emergence.
