Open in Sudbury, Ontario Canada Through 2017

Skipping its way across North America, the Genome: Unlocking Life's Code exhibition is now at Science North in Sudbury, Ontario. 

Take a friend, take your family, or take your science class. Easily worth the trip, and the content fits snugly into most science curriculums.
Headed to the National Association of Biology Teachers Conference in St. Louis? 

Put us on your things to do list. 

On the NABT conference's final day on Sunday, November 12 from 9am - 12pm, you can contribute your insights to the national science literacy effort.

Grab a coffee, get involved in a proposed genomic literacy initiative by NHGRI. We are looking for input from K-16 teachers on the resources you value, or would like to see available in the future.

2018 DNA Day Essay Contest: The American Society of Human Genetics

1st prize is $1,000 for the student and a $1,000 genetics materials grant for the teacher.
 
The annual ASHG DNA Day essay contest is on. Students in grades 9-12 (with help from their teachers encouraged) are asked to examine, question, and reflect on an important concept in genetics. 

Entry deadline is March 9, 2018. Complete details at the  contest website.
