"Inspiring students to love God, their Catholic faith and learning."
Parent / Teacher Conferences
Parent/teacher conference forms are coming home on Friday, October 20th in the youngest students report card envelope. The form is one per family. Please list all children and the teachers that you want a teacher conference with on that form. Please return to school on Monday, October 23rd. Scheduling of times will be first come first served. Please be sure to check your preferred time frame. Do not mark a specific time ex. 3:10 as we cannot accommodate this. Thank you!
Incoming Kindergarten Students 2018-19
Important: We are having an information meeting on Thursday, October 19th in the school cafeteria beginning at 6:00 p.m. Please enter through the glass doors in the back of the school cafeteria, off the lower playground and up the stairs. You will have the opportunity to meet the teachers, administrators, and fellow parents, and gain a better understanding about our kindergarten program here at St. Peter. We ask that you do bring your child/ren to the parent meeting to visit the classrooms.
We have also mailed letters home with additional information regarding the meeting. We look forward to sharing the St. Peter School experience with you.
MEET OUR STAFF

Mrs. Valerie Jones is an 8th grade homeroom teacher at St. Peter Interparish School. She teaches  8th grade Literature and Religion and 7th grade Religion.

She  grew up literally all over the world. She was born in Japan, attended kindergarten in England and moved to Missouri from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, when she was ten years old. She graduated from both St. Peter Interparish School and Helias Catholic High School, and attended college at Rockhurst University in Kansas City. She began her teaching career in Florida, where she taught 3rd and then 5th grade.

Mrs. Jones is  in her fifteenth year teaching here at St. Peter School.  She first began teaching here in 1993 and then left after her third child was born in 1998. She returned to teaching here in 2007.

She is married to her best friend Joe Jones, and they have five wonderful children. Nick and Nate both graduated from Mizzou. Nick works as a mechanical engineer, and Nate currently works as a teacher aide at St. Peter School. Maggie attends Benedictine College. Noah attends Helias Catholic High School, and Joey attends St. Peter School.

She enjoys traveling and trying new things, and still nurtures  lifelong loves of reading and theater. A perfect day for her would be spent with her family on the river in her kayak.

She considers being able to work at St. Peter School an honor and a blessing. She loves working  here for two reasons:  her talented co-workers and the ability to share her faith everyday.
Reminders from Mr. Veit
Uniform Orders:
The manufacturer of the sweatshirts has discontinued light blue and white. Rather than have our distributor seek out another manufacturer, we will refund any current orders for these items and will no longer order them. We will sell the ones we have left so they will remain on the order form but only in the in-stock sizes, so St. Peter sweatshirts will only be available to order in NAVY.
November 3rd is the next deadline for ordering      out-of-stock uniform items or Spirit wear.
A la Carte Lunch Charges Update
Any students who purchase a la carte (extra food at lunch) is charged the $1.00 for an entrée, 50 cents for vegetable, 30 cents for milk. The additional bill for this is either on your B lunch invoice, or if A lunch option, it will now be billed quarterly and sent home with your youngest student. The next A lunch billing for a la carte will be sent home Friday, December 1st . Please feel free to call Kelley with any questions.
Spirit Wear Fundraiser
We are kicking off our SPIRIT WEAR fundraiser to continue raising money for improvements and renovations of our Preschool and Elementary playgrounds. We would like to be able to remove the mulch from our playgrounds and replace it with rubber padding as well as relocate the preschool playground. Our plans are to start the playground renovations in May 2018 !! Renovations such as this will be very costly, so you will see different opportunities to contribute to this fundraising throughout the year.
This is a ONE TIME ONLY order and all orders MUST be received by November 30, 2017.
100% of every order goes directly to the playground fundraising!!
Spirit Wear from these orders can be worn on Spirit Wear days only. Please see the attached order form for this Spirit Wear order. Samples will be available in the school office for sizing if needed. All orders will be returned in time to be given as Christmas gifts. If you would like to pick up your order in the school office rather than having it sent home with your child, please be sure to note this on the order form. If you have any questions about the playground renovations, or are interested in helping with future fundraising for these renovations, please contact Lacy Ralston @ 573-636-8922 ext. 329.

RED RIBBON WEEK
