Our stein runneth over with Oktoberfests! Texas Czech Heritage & Cultural Center in La Grange invites you to celebrate Czech Heritage Month at their place this weekend. Start Friday night with Dujka Brothers. Dance some more Saturday to Bohemian Dutchmen and Red Ravens. Sit back and enjoy Muziky, Muziky tribute to the legacy of Bobby Jones and the Bobby Jones Czech Band at the Sanford Schmid Amphitheater. Top it all off with fireworks display. Food all weekend long, including chicken & dumplings Friday night; Czech dinner Saturday; and hot dogs and other concessions at the Muziky, Muziky event. Enjoy heritage demonstrations, including saw mill operation, plus open houses throughout the Czech Village, such as the Polka Lovers Club of Texas Museum in the Hoelscher Haus.
The Germans of Anhalt invite you to their 142nd Oktoberfest. Ennis Czech Boys and Justin Trevino provide the best of polka and country. $10 gets you all the roast and sausage dinner you can eat.
KCs in Fredericksburg say their fest is best. Saturday, enjoy music by Dutch Treat, Fritz Hodde & The Fabulous 6, and Felix Truvere. One admission price includes all the German sausage & sauerkraut you can eat.
